RAPID CITY — The Sioux Falls O’Gorman boys golf team claimed the team title at Tuesday’s East/West Invitational.

The two-day event played on Monday at Spearfish Country Golf Club and at Meadowbrook Golf Course on Tuesday in Rapid City. 

The Knights scored a 583, surging ahead of Day 1-leader Sioux Falls Lincoln for the team title. Lincoln (591) and Harrisburg (605) finished second and third, respectively. Mitchell (615) and Sioux Falls Washington (634) rounded out the top-five teams. 

Individually, Lincoln’s Max Krenik bested a competitive field for individual medalist honors. Krenik shot a 2-under 142, edging both O’Gorman’s (143) and Harrisburg (143) for the title. 

Mitchell’s Asher Dannenbring (144) placed fourth, while O’Gorman’s Jayden Antonen (145) and Lincoln’s Brody Herrmann (145) tied for fifth place.
