CASPER, Wyo. — Sioux Valley High School graduate and current Gillette College sophomore Ty Moser had a breakthrough performance in the tie-down roping Tuesday night at the College National Finals Rodeo. 

After no scores in the first two go-rounds Moser put together a solid run and won his performance with a time of 9.8 seconds. He finished fifth in the third go-round. 

Moser is currently in 17th place in the overall standings for the tie-down roping competition.
