ESTELLINE — The Sioux Valley boys and Great Plains Lutheran girls won team titles at Wednesday’s Region 2A track and field meet. 

The Sioux Valley boys scored 157 points, ahead of Elkton-Lake Benton (129.5) and Hamlin (90). 

The Great Plains Lutheran girls scored 146 points, ahead of Sioux Valley (135) and Flandreau (95). 

For the boys, Sioux Valley won the 3,200 meter relay (8:36.52) and the sprint medley relay (4:04.24). Donovan Ross won the 110-meter hurdles (:16.01) and was second in the 100-meter dash (:11.34)

Hamlin’s Luke Fraser won the 400-meter dash (:51.93) and ran on the winning 400-meter relay (:44.98), 800-meter relay (1:32.74) and the 1,600 meter relay (3:31.06).

Deuel had a pair of double-winners as freshman Oliver Fieber won the 100-meter dash (:10.96) and the 200-meter dash (:22.86) while Ricky Berndt won the 800-meter run 1:58.80 and the 3,200 meter run 10:41.44. 

Estelline/Hendricks senior Jon Nefzger won the discus (146-11) and shot put (53-1). 

Elkton-Lake Benton’s Tanner Drietz won the triple jump (43-1.25) and was second in the long jump (19-2). 

The Great Plains Lutheran girls won the 400-meter relay (:53.50), the 800-meter relay (1:51.55) and earned a title in the high jump as Abigail Kjenstad won the high jump (4-11). 

Flandreau’s Faith Wiese won the 800-meter run (2:24.38) and the 1,600 meter run (5:10.12) and ran a leg on Flandreau winning the 1,600 meter relay (4:16.07). 

Sioux Valley’s Addison Renkly won the 100-meter hurdles (:16.04), the long jump (17-00.75) and was on the first-place sprint medley team (4:26.90).  

Hamlin’s Gracelyn Leiseth won the shot put (45-5.25) and discus (164-7).
