With the state dual wrestling tournaments happening in Pierre on Feb. 14-15, there are not many duals left in the regular season for teams to make up ground on teams in front of them.

In Class B, Canton is 14-0 and sits atop the B standings (45.500). One of the big movers this week was Winner Area. A week ago the Warriors were in 11th position in the dual standings but jumped all the way to No. 3 after dual wins over Philip/Kadoka/Wall and Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes.

As of Jan. 29, Kimball/White Lake/Platte/Geddes is seeded No. 9 (43.091), just behind No. 8 Parkston (43.333).

Some interesting matchups on Thursday, Jan. 30 with Clark/Willow Lake hosting Canton and Faulkton Area. That same day, Kingsbury County will be in Howard to take on the Tigers and McCook Central/Montrose.

Two-time Class a A state champion Gage Lohr of Watertown suffered a season-ending shoulder injury and without him the Arrows suffered their first dual loss of the season, 37-30 to Brandon Valley on Jan. 24. The Arrows are currently the No. 5 seed with 43.545 points.

Several big duals scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 30 as Aberdeen Central, Harrisburg and Watertown in a triangular.
