South Dakotans sign with out-of-state Division I football programs

Four South Dakota high school football players signed to play with out-of-state Division I college football programs during Wednesday’s early National Signing Day. 

Harrisburg’s Bradley Esser (Washington State), Brandon Valley’s Hudson Parliament (Iowa), Jefferson’s Eddie Whiting (Michigan State) and Tea Area’s Chase DeBoer (Lindenwood) are among the South Dakotans that signed with out-of-state Division I programs on Wednesday. 


Chase DeBoer (6-4, 230)

An all-state and all-conference defensive lineman, DeBoer will play for the Lindenwood University of the Ohio Valley Conference. This season, De Boer totaled 46 tackles, nine tackles for loss and five sacks. For his career, he recorded 94 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks. 


Bradley Esser (6-2, 210)

Esser was an all-state and all-conference performer for the Tigers. He posted 68 tackles, seven tackles for loss and three forced fumbles this season. For his career, Esser tallied 156 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, five forced fumbles and three sacks. Esser is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports.com and Rivals.com. He’s ranked fourth-best overall prospect in South Dakota by ESPN.com, 247Sports.com and Rivals.com.


Hudson Parliament (6-4, 320)

A three-star prospect by 247Sports.com, Parliament was a dominant offensive lineman for the 2025 Class 11AAA state champs. He recorded more than 90 pancake blocks this season. For his career, Parliament was a multiple-time all-conference and all-state performer for the Lynx. He was chosen as the 2024 South Dakota Gatorade football player of the year. 


Eddie Whiting (6-6, 245)

Whiting is ranked as the nation’s No. 23 tight end (ESPN.com) and No. 58 tight end (247Sports.com). This season, Whiting hauled in 27 receptions for 310 yards and six touchdown receptions. Whiting earned all-state and all-conference honors for the Cavaliers.
