MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Six South Dakota high school football players will play in the 2025 Native All-American Football Game on Sunday, Dec. 14 at U.S. Bank Stadium, home of the Minnesota Vikings.

The event is produced by the Native American Athletic Foundation (NAAF) in partnership with the Minnesota Vikings and the National Football League (NFL). This marks the fourth year of NFL partnership and the third time the Vikings have hosted (previously in 2022 and ‘23) a similar game.

The rosters are broken into two teams — Ta’Tanka and Wa’ya. Ta’Tanka is coached by Ahman Green, a member of the Choctaw Nation and former Green Bay Packer running back. Wa’Ya is coached by Levi Horn, a member of the Northern Cheyenne Nation and former All-American offensive tackle at the University of Montana.

Rapid City Central’s Trajan Weaver and Todd County’s Chris Ellert are members of the Ta’Tanka team. Little Wound’s Riley Casey, Lower Brule’s Nate Middletent, Rapid City Central’s Onzei Weaver and Todd County’s Haysten Wooden Knife are playing on the Wa’Ya team.

To be considered for the Native All-American Game, athletes must be an enrolled member of a federally recognized American Indian Tribe and a high school senior who has completed their final football season.
