CUSTER — Sturgis’ Seth Burton claimed three first-place finishes at Thursday’s Black Hills Conference track and field meet. 

Burton won the 100-meter dash (:10.95), 200-meter dash (:22.07) and 400-meter dash (:50.50). Burton, Jude Legner, Ephraim Brant and Mason Venjohn won the 1,600-meter relay (3:26.14).

On the girls side, Spearfish’s Peyton VanDeest was also triple winner in the 800-meter run (2:16.29), the 1,600-meter run (4:55.05) and the 3,200-meter run (11:20.81). 

Hill City’s Brensen Veneklasen won the 110-meter hurdles (:15.67) and the 300-meter hurdles (:41.86). 

Spearfish’s Liam Goetz won the long jump (20-5.75) and triple jump (41-10.5). 

Sturgis’ Taylor Colunga won the 800-meter run (2:04.92). 

Hill City’s Tate Grabow won the 1,600-meter run (4:30.17).

Sturgis’ Quinn Bruch won the 3,200-meter run (10:19.67). 

Hill City’s Caleb Sobolik, Mason Wiese, Ayden Kurtz and Nick Schroeder teamed up to win the 400-meter relay (:43.48). Sobolik, Wiese, Dax Frandsen and Schroeder won the 800-meter relay (1:31.01). 

Hill City’s Brodi Moriarty, James Dubios, Aiden Williams and Frandsen won the 3,200-meter relay (8:25.48). 

Hot Springs’ Westin Klippenstein, Alain Rono, Hunter Kunz and Lyle Roberts won the sprint medley relay (3:47.65). 

St. Thomas More’s Maxon Speed won the shot put (56-1). 

Belle Fourche’s Gabe Raba won the discus (152-5). 

Spearfish’s Sam Marcus won the javelin throw (171-1) and placed second in the discus (145-10). 

Lead-Deadwood’s Blake Janssen won the high jump (6-3). 

Custer’s Ezra Wollman won the pole vault (13-9). 

Hot Springs’ Ashlynn Elshere won the 400-meter dash (:57.73) and took second in the 200-meter dash (:25.64). 

Sturgis’ Kaylie Theberge won the 100-meter dash (:12.33).

Spearfish’s Daniela Rodriguez won the 200-meter dash (:25.27). 

Belle Fourche’s Ansley O’Brien won the 100-meter hurdles (:15.23). O’Brien, Jazlyn Olson, Berklee Nore and Mya Nowowiejski won the 800-meter relay (1:47.25). 

Hill City’s Andee Frandsen won the 300-meter hurdles (:47.39) and placed second in the 100-meter hurdles (:15.92). 

Frandsen, Eden Wildeman, Macie Ham and Alaina Dean won the 400-meter relay (:50.54). 

Spearfish’s Marley Mosset, Auna Taglioli, Sierra Sandford and Daniela Rodriguez won the 1,600-meter relay (4:11.84). 

Lauryn Donovan, Sophia Hatleli, Maddy Campbell and Auna Taglioli won the 3,200-meter relay (10:26.68). 

Douglas’ Olivia Craion, Kalani St. Andre, Erin Harms and Kira Ubence won the sprint medley relay (4:34.93). 

Spearfish’s Taylor Vitto won the javelin (115-0). 

Spearfish’s Adelyn Bouman won the high jump (5-4). 

Sturgis’ Kaylie Theberge won the long jump (18-3.5). 

Hill City’s Alaina Dean won the triple jump (35-9). 

Custer’s Karyn Ellerton won the shot put (37-11.5).
