RAPID CITY — Defending Class A state wrestling Sturgis sailed through their region meet Saturday finishing with nine individual champions. 

The Scoopers scored 297.5 points, ahead of Rapid City Stevens (253) and Rapid City Central, (188). Douglas/Rapid City Christian/New Underwood (117.5) and Belle Fourche (111.5) rounded out the top-five teams.

Sullivan Sigman, Tyler Baldwin, Mason Hagen, Parker Graveman, Benjamin Nadig, Kalvin Ketelson, Joseph Nadig, Zhoel Irion and Kelson Dirk all won titles for Sturgis.

Other championships were won by Rapid City Central’s Ryan Tschetter (126), Rapid City Stevens’ Joe Juenger (144), Rapid City Stevens’ Jacob Williams (157), Rapid City Stevens’ Ayden Kellog (215) and Dougals/Rapid CIty Christian/New Underwood’s Lucas Giersberg (285).
