LENNOX — The Tea Area girls and Dakota Valley boys won team titles at Thursday’s Lennox Invitational run at the Lenkota Country Club.

The Tea Area girls won the title with 34 points, ahead of Lennox (53) and West Central (61). Dakota Valley (66) and Sioux Falls Christian (69) rounded out the top-five teams. The Dakota Valley boys won the team title with 34 points, ahead of West Central (52) and Tea Area (58). Lennox (61) and Vermillion (61) tied for fifth place. 

Lennox’s Kelsey Schmidt won the girls race in 18:35, just ahead of Chamberlain’s Grace Phillips (18:35) and Dakota Valley’s Sophia Redler (18:37). Tea Area’s Jaycie Babb (18:41) and West Central’s Brooklyn Sundermann (18:53) rounded out the top-five finishers.

Dakota Valley’s Jack Brown covered the 5,000-meter course in 16:06, ahead of Vermillion freshman Gage Beverly (16:20) and Vermillion’s Hunter Morse (16:46). Dakota Valley’s Jamison Gould (16:47) and Tea Area’s Jack Campbell (16:49) were the top five boys finishers.
