The South Dakota high school football playoffs continued on Oct. 26-28, and the top performers continued to roll in. 

Here’s a look at the top football performers as teams gear up for the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 3:

  • Canistota’s Tage Ortman accounted for seven total touchdowns in a 70-19 win over Gregory in the Class 9A playoffs. Ortman led Canistota with 179 yards rushing on nine carries and scored two touchdowns, while he completed 7 of 11 passes for 273 yards and threw four touchdowns. Ortman added an interception return for a score. 

  • De Smet’s Britt Carlson completed 6 of 9 passes for 173 yards and tossed four passing touchdowns in a Class 9B playoff win over Gayville-Volin. He added 11 tackles and three sacks on defense. 

  • Parkston’s Brayden Jervik rushed for three touchdowns and 65 yards in a 28-0 Class 9AA playoff win over Hanson. Jervik added nine tackles on defense. 

  • Dell Rapids’ Sutton Williams rushed for three touchdowns in a 52-0 Class 11A playoff win over Madison.

  • Hot Springs’ Braden Peterson racked up 204 yards rushing on 14 carries and scored four touchdowns in a 49-13 Class 11B playoff win over Sioux Valley. 

  • Camron Maciejewski added 131 yards rushing on 17 carries and scored two touchdowns for the Bison. He added a 37-yard touchdown reception and had 14 tackles on defense. 

  • Sioux Falls Lincoln’s Tate Schafer tossed five passing touchdowns in a 56-21 Class 11AAA playoff win over Rapid City Stevens. Schafer threw two passing touchdowns to Isaac Jarovski and Jack Smith, who added a punt return for a score. Dawson Siem also hauled in a touchdown reception from Schafer. 

  • Ryker Peterson rushed for 296 yards on 35 carries and scored three touchdowns in Philip’s 46-15 Class 9A playoff win over Chester. 

  • Faulkton Area’s Layne Cotton rushed for three touchdowns and 52 yards in a 48-0 Class 9B playoff win over Kadok Area. 

  • Pierre’s Cade Kaiser completed 11 of 14 passes for 179 yards and tossed four passing touchdowns in a Class 11AA playoff win over Spearfish. Kaiser added 88 rushing yards on six carries. Kaiser threw two passing touchdowns to George Stalley and one each to Jett Zabel and Tyan Buus. 

  • Spearfish’s Seth Hamilton completed 4 of 8 passes for 208 yards and threw four passing touchdowns against Pierre. Cade Vavruska hauled in two touchdown passes and finished with 96 yards receiving. 

  • Todd County’s Ty Valandra scored three touchdowns in a 44-12 All-Nations Football Conference semifinal playoff win over Cheyenne-Eagle Butte/Tiospaye Topa. 

  • Lower Brule’s Lane Gray tossed three passing touchdowns in a 38-16 All-Nations Football Conference semifinal playoff win over McLaughlin. Gray connected with Rocco Estes for two touchdowns, while Marley Carpenter hauled in another one. 

  • Harrisburg’s Sam Knuth completed 13 of 17 passes for 178 yards and four passing touchdowns in a 42-7 Class 11AAA playoff win over Sioux Falls Washington.

  • Rapid City Christian’s Simon Kieffer passed for 189 yards and threw two passing touchdowns to Wilson Kieffer, including the game winner in the fourth quarter. Wilson Kieffer hauled in 160 yards receiving. 

  • Avon’s Aziah Meyer rushed for 156 yards on 22 carries and scored four touchdowns in a 38-14 Class 9B playoff win over Hitchcock-Tulare. 

  • West Central’s Jude Jarding scored three rushing touchdowns in a 45-13 Class 11A playoff win over Chamberlain. 

  • Lennox’s Boston Katzer completed 20 of 30 passes for 242 yards and tossed three passing touchdowns in a 28-22 Class 11A playoff win over Canton. 

  • Lennox’s Porter Ihnen hauled in nine catches for 135 yards and one touchdown for the Orioles. 

  • Brandon Valley’s Landon Dulaney scored three total touchdowns in a 41-21 Class 11AAA playoff win over Sioux Falls Jefferson. Dulaney scored on a rushing touchdown, a touchdown reception and returned a kickoff for a touchdown. 

  • Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Hayden Groos passed for 241 yards and four touchdowns in a 46-27 Class 11AAA playoff win over Sioux Falls Roosevelt. 

  • Watertown’s Juven Hudson rushed for 160 yards on 15 carries and scored two touchdowns in a 42-17 Class 11AA playoff win over Aberdeen Central.
