The 2023 South Dakota high school football season resumed last week and top performances continued to roll in. 

Here are this week’s top performers across South Dakota for football games on Aug. 24-26.

• Chester Area’s Layke Wold totaled nine touchdowns in a 63-34 win over Centerville on Aug. 25. Wold completed 11 of 14 passes for 272 yards and six passing touchdowns, while rushing for 82 yards and three more scores. 
• Chester Area’s Will Seeley hauled in 133 yard receiving and four touchdown receptions against the Tornadoes. 
• Centerville's Alec Austin completed 24 of 40 passes for 214 passing yards and four touchdown passes against Chester Area. 
• Harding County/Bison’s Rylee Veal rushed for 208 yards on 23 carries and scored two touchdowns against Kadoka Area on Aug. 25. 
• Kadoka Area’s Gus Stout logged 223 yards rushing on 36 carries and scored two touchdowns against the Ranchers. 
• Stanley County’s Barret Schweitzer logged 190 yards rushing and three rushing scores in a win over De Smet on Aug. 25.

• Hot Springs’ Camron Maciejewski racked up 173 rushing yards and scored three rushing touchdowns against McCook Central/Montrose on Aug. 26. 
• Tri-Valley’s Brody Dybvig racked up 233 rushing yards against Parker on Aug. 25. 
• Winner’s Karson Keiser recorded 163 rushing yards and three touchdowns in a 46-6 win over Wagner on Aug. 25. 
• Ipswich’s Max Kulesa completed 10 of 14 passes for 231 yards and four total touchdowns, including three through the air. 
• Herreid/Selby Area’s Houston Hauge amassed 181 rushing yards on 38 carries and scored three touchdowns in a win over Timber Lake on Aug. 25. 
• Dell Rapids’ Mason Stubbe racked up 203 rushing yards and four touchdowns in a win over Madison on Aug. 25. 
• Britton-Hecla’s Bryce Hawkinson finished with 155 rushing yards on 19 carries and scored three touchdowns against Florence-Henry on Aug. 25.
• Faulkton Area’s Garrett Cramer rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns against Hitchcock-Tulare on Aug. 25.
• Chamberlain’s Cruz Soulek completed 10 of 18 passes for a school-record 397 yards and tossed four touchdown passes in a loss against Lennox on Aug. 25. 
• Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan’s Macklen Weber scored four total touchdowns in a 36-2 win over Flandreau on Aug. 25. He scored two rushing touchdowns, hauled in a touchdown pass and scored on a 77-yard kickoff return. 
• Avon’s Aziah Meyer racked up four total touchdowns, including three rushing yards in a 62-21 victory over Burke on Aug 25. He added an 80-yard kickoff return for a score. 
• Hanson’s Weston Kayser logged three total touchdowns in a 60-0 win over Irene-Wakonda. He scored on two punt returns and hauled in a touchdown pass. 
• Wolsey-Wessington’s Caleb Richmond tossed four passing touchdowns, including three in the first half, as the Warbirds knocked off Gregory on Aug. 25. He rushed for 102 yards and passed for 246 yards in the win.
