Vermillion captures team and individual honors at Dakota Valley Golf Invite

NORTH SIOUX CITY — The Vermillion boys golf team picked up team and individual honors at the Dakota Valley Golf Invitational at the Two Rivers Golf Club on Wednesday.

Vermillion scored a +24 to win the team title at Two Rivers Golf Club, while host Dakota Valley finished in second with a score of +39. Tea Area (+48), Canton (+51), and Beresford (+60) rounded out the top five.

Individually, Vermillion’s Carter Hansen took home first place with a score of 72. Tea Area’s Derek Anderson (75) and Keeton Newborg (76) placed second and third, while Dakota Valley’s Logan Collette (76) and Canton’s Carson Steffensen (76) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
