SIOUX FALLS — The Vermillion Tanagers turned back a loaded field of Class A schools to win the Charger Golf Invitational on Tuesday.

The Tanagers put up a score of 312 to edge Dakota Valley (318) and West Central (319). Sioux Falls Christian (320) and Sioux Valley (325) rounded out the top-five.

Sioux Falls Christian’s Eli Anema fired a four under par (68) finishing ahead of Canton’s Carson Steffensen (71) and West Central’s Anthony Lanham (74). Madison’s Braylon Oftedal (76), Vermillion’s Trey Hansen (76), Elk Point-Jefferson’s Carter Langle (76), Parkston’s Payton Koehn (76) and Sioux Valley’s (76) rounded out the top-five.
