BRANDON — Watertown holds a one-shot lead over Sioux Falls O’Gorman after Day 1 of the Class AA state boys golf tournament.

The Arrows, who have two golfers in the top-three, carded a 286 and hold a one-shot lead over O’Gorman (287) at Brandon Golf Course. O’Gorman is powered by three golfers in the top-five scores.

Brandon Valley (301), Harrisburg (305) and Mitchell (310) round out the top-five teams.

Individually, Watertown’s Jake Olson fired a two-under-par 69 and shot a 34 on the front nine. Watertown’s Kaden Rylance and O’Gorman’s Taten Mauney and Nolan Cinco each shot 70s and are tied for second place. O’Gorman’s Mac Drake, Brandon Valley’s Carter Peterson and Mitchell’s Asher Dannenbring are tied for fifth place with 72s. 

The tournament concludes on Tuesday.
