DELL RAPIDS — The West Central cross-country teams both came home with titles Monday at the Dell Rapids Invitational run on the Rocky Run Golf Course. 

The West Central boys used strong performances from Benjamin Strunk and Jonathon Roth to edge Tea Area for the boys title. The West Central girls scored 44 points to get past Sioux Falls Christian. 

Stunk won the boys individual title 16:39, ahead of Roth (16:56) and Tea Area’s Reid Hammerquist (17:14). Sioux Falls Christian’s Simon Roelofs (17:21) and Wesley Lyon (17:27) rounded out the top-five performers. 

In the girls race Sioux Falls Christian’s Corrine Braun 18:13 edged Chester’s Emery Larson (18:36 and Tea Area’s Jaycie Babb (19:03). Dell Rapids’ Rorie Thorson (19:12) and West Central’s Aubrey Borns (19:28) rounded out the top-five performers.
