PRESHO — White River’s Elijah Haukaas was a double winner in a pair of distance races at Thursday’s Cecil Johnson Invitational.

Haukaas won the 800-meter run (2:12.32) and 1,600-meter run (4:53.29).  

Todd County’s Ty Valandra won the 100-meter dash (:11.56) and ran the anchor legs on the winning 400-meter relay (:45.23) and 800-meter relay (1:35.03). 

Bennett County’s Caysen Soderlin won the shot put (46-1.5) and discus (157-4). 

Lyman’s Cole Kieffer won the 110-meter hurdles (:17.48) and placed fifth in the 300-meter hurdles (:48.80).

Crazy Horse’s Onzei Weaver won the 200-meter dash (:24.29). Miller’s Kellan Hurd ran a :54.13 to win the 400-meter dash. Todd County’s Bryson Edwards won the 300-meter hurdles (:47.30) 

Faulkton Area won the 3,200-meter relay (9:45.39) 

White River’s Gunnar Watson won the javelin throw (139-6). Lyman’s Dawsen Volmer won the high jump at 5-8. Lyman’s Aksel Ehlers won the pole vault (11-0). Bennett County’s Hayden Risse won the long jump (19-7). Douglas’ Dwayne Blanchard won the triple jump (39-3) 

In girls action, Kadoka Area’s Landyn Koehn won the discus (121-6), javelin (96-9) and placed second in the shot put (32-6.5). 

Lyman’s Brooke Montgomery won the 100-meter dash (:13.07). Lyman’s Jordyn Scott won the 400-meter dash (1:04.41). Montgomery and Scott ran on the winning 400-meter relay (:52.91) and 800-meter relay (1:53.04). 

White River’s Maleena Brave cleared 5-1 to win the high jump and placed second in the 100-meter dash (:14.03). 

Jones County’s BreAna Aske won the 200-meter dash (:27.59). Douglas’ Erin Harms won the 800-meter run (2:36.08).

New Underwood’s Olivia Carmichael won the 1,600-meter run (6:16.33). Stanley County’s Sarah Fosheim won the 3,200-meter run (14:30.44). Faulkton Area’s Presleigh Martinmaas won the 100-meter hurdles (:17.11). 

Douglas’ Ashlyn Blasius won the 300-meter hurdles (:54.30) 

Faulkton Area won the 3,200-meter relay (10:45.64). Miller’s Faith Baumberger won the shot put (34-3). Kadoka Area’s Ella Schofield won the pole vault (7-6). Miller’s Paige Werdel won the long jump (15-11) 

Philip’s Mesa Mangis won the triple jump (32-2.5).
