White River Tigers claim Lakota Nation Invitational golf title

BOX ELDER — The White River boys golf team captured Monday’s Lakota Nation Invitational team title. 

The Tigers carded a 407, finishing ahead of Lakota Tech (439) and Todd County (481). Red Cloud (484) rounded out the team scores at Box Elder's Prairie Ridge Golf Course. The Tigers had five golfers in the top-15 finishers: T.J. Beardt (90), Steven Becker (93), Bryson One Star (112), Nic Marshall (112) and Joe Sayler (118). 

Individually, Lakota Tech’s Landon Little and Winner’s Ryder Halligan tied for individual medalist honors with 87s. Beardt, Pine Ridge’s Ritchie Patton (91) and Becker rounded out the top-five golfers.
