MURDO — White River’s Elijah Haukaas and Jones County’s BreAna Aske captured individual titles at Wednesday’s Jones County Invitational. 

Aske covered the 5,000-meter distance at the Murdo Golf Course in 21 minutes and :26.42 seconds, followed by White River’s Amya Prue (24:10.33). Todd County’s Alexis Red Bird (24:12.44), Jones County’s Avery Martinez (24:14.35) and Little Wound’s Rayonna Brave Bird (24:56.94) rounded out the top-five girls runners.

Haukaas won the boys race in 18:18.94, followed by Todd County’s Michael Prue (19:25.75). Little Wound’s Payton LeBeau (19:41.36), Little Wound’s Jayce Fire Thunder (20:21.79) and White River’s Cadyn Brave Heart (20:30.22) rounded out the top-five boys runners. 

The White River boys and Jones County girls won team titles.
