Wyatt Fagerhaug, Jack Saienga have South Dakota's top performance at Wednesday's NJHFR
Wessington Springs cowboy Wyatt Fagerhaug had two fast goat tying times Wednesday and is currently in eighth place in the Rookie All Around Cowboy Standings.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Wessington Springs’ Wyatt Fagerhaug and Miller’s Jack Saienga had South Dakota’s top performances at Wednesday’s National Junior High Finals Rodeo. 

Fagerhaug had the second fastest time in the evening performance of goat tying with a time of 10.03 seconds. On Wednesday morning, Fagerhaug finished eighth in his performance with a time of 13.31 seconds. He is currently sixth in the overall goat tying competition with two runs equaling 23.34 seconds. Fagerhaug is currently sitting eighth in the Rookie, All-Around Cowboy standings with 190 points. 

Saienga was second in his performance of the tie-down roping with a time of 12.82 seconds.

South Dakota results from Wednesday, June 27: 

Bareback Riding: 5. Revyn Floyd, Buffalo - 41 points.

Breakaway Roping: 5. Cooper Conry, Saint Onge, 3.26 seconds; 6. Pete Maher, McLaughlin, 3.32 seconds.

Bull Riding: 4. Coy Laurence, Rosholt - 63 points.

Ribbon Roping: 15. Dalton Grimes, Kadoka, Bradi Bachand, Kadoka - 21.56 seconds.

Tie-Down Roping: Jack Saienga, Miller, 13.34 seconds.
