RAPID CITY — The 2023 Lakota All-Star Games will host its fifth annual high school basketball game on April 29, 2023 at The Monument (Summit Arena).

Among the selections are multiple 1,000 point scorers, all-state selections, and players with state tournament experience. Also a first for the event: there will be three high school boys teams with Team Tatanka playing twice on Saturday.

"This is our biggest event so far in terms of numbers and the level of talent that will take the court," said Lakota All-Star Games Director Dale Pine Jr. "We are excited to welcome players from all over and I got a first hand look at talent to scout for the event thanks to online streaming."

Last year's girls player of the game, Josie Hill, finished her freshman season as a starter and the leading rebounder at NCAA Division I Chicago State. The boys player of the game, Rance Harrison, played at United Tribes Technical College this season.

The high school girls game between Team Anpo and Team Wicahpi is tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. with the Team Hehaka vs. Team Tatanka high school boys game at 4 p.m. Team Wanbli and Team Tatanka will finish off the event at 8 p.m. after the college men's game.
