All-Nations Football Conference Recap - Mahpiya Luta pitches shutout against St. Francis, evens record at 3-3

PINE RIDGE — Mahpiya Luta evened its record at 3-3 after a 52-0 All-Nations Football Conference win over St. Francis on Oct. 2. 

Mahpiya Luta quarterback Jesse Carlow completed 11-of-15 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns. Kendall LeBeau added a 47-yard touchdown pass of his own. Julian Tonche had 167 yards rushing on seven carries and scored two touchdowns. Tonche hauled in four receptions for 126 yards and a touchdown, while Memphis Brewer added two receptions for 51 yards and a score.

Christian Jack posted five tackles, while LeBeau totaled 2.5 tackles, one sack, one interception, and one forced fumble. Fernando Montileaux added an interception.


Lower Brule blanks Pine Ridge, improves to 3-3

LOWER BRULE — Lower Brule evened its record at 3-3 following a 50-0 All-Nations Football Conference win over Pine Ridge on Oct. 2. 

Lower Brule’s Nate Middletent powered the Sioux with two receiving touchdowns, two interceptions on defense and a 50-yard pick-six. Ethan Thigh tossed two passing touchdowns to Middletent. Isaiah Felicia scored three rushing touchdowns, while Vincent Battese returned a fumble for a touchdown. 


Omaha Nation blanks Crow Creek, sets up key matchup vs. White River 

OMAHA — Omaha Nation shutout Crow Creek, 50-0, in All-Nations Football Conference action on Oct. 2. 

Omaha Nation’s Cebastian Cline-Brownrigg rushed for 127 yards on 11 carries and scored two touchdowns. Dason Romo rushed for 56 yards on five carries and scored three touchdowns. 

Defensively, Javan Webster totaled two of Omaha Nation’s four sacks. 

Omaha Nation improved to 5-1, and will host White River (5-1) on Oct. 9. The teams are tied for second in the Class 9B All-Nations Football Conference standings, behind McLaughlin (6-0). 


Todd County tops Cheyenne-Eagle Butte/Tiospaye Topa, improves to 5-1

EAGLE BUTTE — Todd County topped Cheyenne-Eagle Butte/Tiospaye Topa, 50-0, in All-Nations Football Conference action on Oct. 2. 

Todd County’s Bane Yellow Eagle rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Chris Ellert returned an interception for a touchdown. Charles Black Crow-Amiotte also intercepted a pass on defense.
