All-Nations Football Conference Recap - White River outlasts Omaha Nation in low-scoring affair

OMAHA, Neb. — White River outlasted Omaha Nation, Nebraska, 6-0, in a key All-Nations Football Conference contest on Oct. 9. 

The Tigers and Chiefs entered the Class 9B standings with identical 5-1 records. White River’s victory puts them in sole possession of second place in the Class 9B standings, while Omaha Nation in third place with one game left in the regular season.

McLaughlin (7-0) is currently atop the Class 9B standings. 


Mahpiya Luta pulls past Lower Brule 

PINE RIDGE — Mahpiya Luta pulled away from Lower Brule for an All-Nations Football Conference victory on Oct. 9. 

Mahpiya Luta quarterback Jesse Carlow passed for 100 yards and threw a passing touchdown. Kendall LeBeau threw for 28 yards and a touchdown, while also adding three receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown.

Julian Tonche rushed for 191 yards on 17 carries and scored a touchdown. He added one passing touchdown. 

Christian Jack hauled in three catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Kyren Tibbitts added 60 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Baylee Little had a touchdown.

Jack finished with nine tackles and Tonche posted five tackles. Carlow added an interception on defense. 


Todd County shuts out Pine Ridge 

MISSION — Todd County blanked Pine Ridge, 46-0, in All-Nations Football Conference action on Oct. 9. 

Bane Yellow Eagle rushed for 124 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Talan Iyotte added 83 total yards and a touchdown.

Todd County’s Oniya Whirlwind Soldier and Ciante Black Spotted Horse intercepted passes on defense. Haysten Wooden Knife picked up three sacks and made 12 total tackles.


Winnebago blanks St. Francis, improves to 7-0

ST. FRANCIS — Winnebago, Nebraska, shutout St. Francis Indian in All-Nations Football Conference action on Oct. 9. Winnebago finished with 223 total yards. 

Winnebago’s Raiden DeCora finished with two rushing touchdowns and 73 yards rushing. DeCora added a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown. Adarius Flemister and Melvin Hulit added rushing touchdowns. Elijah Whitebear tossed two passing touchdowns to Jared Doxey II. Doxey II had six tackles on defense. Hulit had two interceptions on defense.
