All-Nations Football Conference Roundup - Todd County outlasts Little Wound, advances to Class 9A state championship

Todd County 50, Little Wound 46

MISSION — Bane Yellow Eagle’s touchdown run with 1:37 left propelled Todd County past Little Wound in Class 9A All-Nations Football Conference action on Friday. The Falcons will play Winnebago, Nebraska, in the Class 9A All-Nations Football Conference championship game on Nov. 7 in Vermillion. 

Trailing 46-44, Yellow Eagle’s touchdown run put Todd County ahead 50-46 and the Falcons forced a Little Wound turnover on downs to secure the win. 

Todd County’s Chris Ellert tossed two touchdown passes to Oniya Whirlwind Soldier, and he also ran for a score. Yellow Eagle finished with three rushing touchdowns, while Aden Good Voice added a rushing touchdown. 

For Little Wound, Riley Casey had a hand in all seven Mustang touchdowns. The dual-threat quarterback rushed for four touchdowns, while he tossed touchdown passes to Mathius O’Rourke, Tanner High Horse and Kenyon Janis. 


White River 50, Tiospa Zina 0

WHITE RIVER — White River blanked Tiospa Zina in Class 9B All-Nations Football Conference semifinal action. The Tigers will play McLaughlin 

White River’s Cooper Baxter finished with two touchdown passes, and a rushing touchdown. Kreg Stoddard rushed for three touchdowns, and hauled in a touchdown reception. Bryson One Star added a rushing touchdown and a touchdown catch. One Star added an interception on defense. 


McLaughlin 68, Marty 14

MCLAUGHLIN — John Eagle Jr. totaled eight touchdowns as McLaughlin advanced to the Class 9B All-Nations Football Conference semifinal action Friday. The Mustangs will play White River in the Class 9B All-Nations Football Conference championship game on Nov. 7 in Vermillion.

Eagle Jr. passed for four touchdowns of 68, 35, 20 and five yards apiece, adding scoring runs from 17, 19 and 48 yards away. Eagle Jr. snagged an interception and also returned the opening kickoff back for a special teams touchdown as well. Tyler Bull Head caught two touchdowns recording one interception defensively. Jacoby Carry Moccasin caught a 68-yard touchdown while Lyle Lumbar caught the 35-yard touchdown to seal it. The Mustang defense combined for a fumble recovery for a touchdown as well.

For Marty, Leon Heart passed for a 29-yard touchdown to Tayshaun Brewer while Steven Peters III caught a three-yard touchdown from Brewer as well.


Winnebago (Neb.) 52, Mahpiya Luta 14

WINNEBAGO, Neb. — Winnebago, Nebraska, rolled past Mahpiya Luta in Class 9A All-Nations Football Conference semifinal action on Friday. 

Winnebago’s Adarius Flemister rushed for four touchdowns, while Raiden DeCora added two touchdowns. Jared Doxey scored a rushing touchdown. 

Mahpiya Luta’s Julian Tonche rushed for two touchdowns.
