Wall 73, Harding County/Bison 20

WALL — Class 9A No. 1 Wall rolled past Class 9A No. 3 Harding County/Bison in Friday high school football action. 


Alcester-Hudson 26, Centerville 21

CENTERVILLE — Darin Dykstra and Tommy Walth powered Class 9A No. 4 Alcester-Hudson to a high school football victory over No. 5 Centerville Friday.

Dykstra rushed 17 times for 116 yards, adding one catch for 17 yards, while Walth rushed 23 times for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Walth also completed two passes for 63 yards and a touchdown, with Jackson Meyer hauling in the 46-yard score. Karzen Sommervold led the Cubs defense with six tackles.
For Centerville, Alec Austin had 11 carries for 42 yards, completing 19-of-39 pass attempts for 345 yards and three touchdowns, throwing two interceptions. Hogan Hybertson caught five passes for 147 yards and a score, Charlie Eide added four catches four 68 yards, Corbin Tople had three catches for 58 yards and a score, Noah Schoenfelder reeled in three passes for 52 yards while Cullen Pollard brought in three receptions for 18 yards and a touchdown. Eide led the Tornado defense with 8.5 tackles.


Hamlin 29, Hanson 23

ALEXANDRIA — Jackson Wadsworth tossed a 33-yard touchdown pass to Boden Stevenson with 7:55 left to lift Class 9AA No. 2 Hamlin past Class 9AA No. 5 Hanson on Friday. 

Wadsworth finished with 91 passing yards and two passing touchdowns, while rushing for two more scores. Wadsworth rushed for 94 yards. Stevenson hauled in 53 yards receiving. 

For Hanson, Cole Dewald rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown. Jett Jager passed for 94 yards and two passing touchdowns. Jason Porth and Carter Endorf both hauled in touchdown receptions. 


Sully Buttes 62, Burke 7

BURKE — Wesley Wittler accounted for five total touchdowns as Class 9B No. 1 Sully Buttes rolled past Burke on Friday.

Wittler tossed two passing touchdowns apiece to Easton Moore and Jett Yackley. Wittler added a rushing touchdown. Kadyn Westergren rushed for 112 yards on seven carries and scored two touchdowns. Atticus Miles rushed for 101 yards on three carries. Easton Moore tossed a passing touchdown to Carson Mercer. Miles had a 25-yard pick-six. 

For Burke, John Delong had a rushing touchdown. Elijah Bartling rushed for 16 yards. 


Canistota 20, Colman-Egan 12

CANISTOTA — Easton Miller’s seven-yard touchdown run pushed Canistota past Colman-Egan in high school football action Friday.

Miller rushed 23 times for 82 yards and a score in the win, Prayden Acheson added nine carries for 25 yards as well. Miller completed a 39-yard touchdown pass to Dayne Krinke on his only pass attempt, while Nate Merrill added seven completions for 88 yards and a passing score. Krinke caught four passes for 71 yards and a score while Miller added three receptions for 44 yards and a score. Carter Becker led the Hawks with seven tackles on defense.

For CE, Hayden Pearson had 19 carries for 80 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Pearson also caught an 18-yard completion. Landon McManus led the Hawks with 8.5 tackles on defense.


Herreid-Selby Area 42, Northwestern 0

MELLETTE — Herreid-Selby Area scored six rushing touchdowns as it blanked Northwestern during Friday’s high school football action.

Porter Gregg led the charge with 117 yards on 13 carries and two rushing scores, Thatcher Khine added 52 yards on two rushing scores, Jared Weisbeck netted four carries for 80 yards and a touchdown, Houston Hauge had five carries for 47 yards and a touchdown, Tatum Quaschnick tallied 50 yards on nine carries while Keegan Russell added a 33-yard run as well. Kayden Russell led the defense with eight tackles in the win.

Northwestern’s stats were not reported.


Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 46, Sunshine Bible Academy 8

MILLER — Oldham-Ramona/Rutland rushed for 238 yards as the Raiders downed Sunshine Bible Academy in high school football action Friday.

Hudson Pooler rushed 16 times for 90 yards, Cooper Merager tallied nine carries for 57 yards, Dylan Sievers had two rushing scores on 12 carries, adding 48 yards, while Easton Ruml rushed for a touchdown as well. Boyd Pooler, Hudson Pooler and Hyde Hanson each had a touchdown reception as well.

For SBA, Toby Mickelson rushed five times for 46 yards and a touchdown, adding 26 yards through the air. Seth Konechne recorded 17 tackles in the loss.


Scotland/Menno 44, Corsica-Stickney 30

MENNO — Scotland/Menno pulled away from Class 9B No. 5 Corsica-Stickney for a high school football win on Friday.

SM’s Izayah Ulmer completed 15-of-24 passes for 258 yards and five touchdowns. Ulmer added 31 yards rushing and a touchdown. Hunter Clark caught five passes for 125 yards and three touchdowns. Jarret Andretta added four catches for 62 yards and two touchdowns. Keyen Fischer rushed for 43 yards on nine carries. 

For Corsica-Stickney, Waylon Bolle had 19 carries for 136 yards and three touchdowns. Connor Wright added 77 yards rushing on five carries. Max VandenHoek passed for 61 yards. 


Dupree 36, North Central 28 

DUPREE — Dupree totaled 346 yards en route to a Friday high school football win over North Central. The Tigers rushed for 296 yards. 

Cruz Birkeland finished with 32 carries for 171 yards and five touchdowns. Fletcher Birkeland added 82 yards rushing on eight carries. Tee Birkeland passed for 50 yards and Dayson Kennedy hauled in 26 yards receiving. 

For North Central, Kobe Wherry passed for 113 yards and two touchdown passes. Jade Jacobs rushed for 67 yards on seven carries and scored a touchdown. Donovan Nelson and Mason Kunz both hauled in touchdown receptions. 


Dell Rapids St. Mary 52, Irene-Wakonda 0

IRENE — Class 9B No. 3 Dell Rapids St. Mary blanked Irene-Wakonda in high school football action Friday.

Lincoln LeBrun rushed four times for 148 yards and three touchdowns, Trimmier Hanson tallied three carries for 85 yards and a score, Kade Lutt punched one in from 15-yards out while Jacob Geraets added 34 yards on three carries in the win. Joshua Liebl led the Cardinals defensively with four tackles.

For IW, Aidan Mulder had six carries for 29 yards, Brody Johnke completed two passes for 17 yards, Hayden Hansen hauled in three passes for 30 yards, whileJohnke and Mulder each recorded two tackles defensively.


Tea Area 22, Spearfish 14

TEA — Class 11AA No. 4 Tea Area ran for 276 yards as the Titans outlasted Spearfish during Friday’s high school football action.

Mitch Grant led the rushing attack with 104 yards and a score on 10 carries, adding 86 yards and a touchdown through the air. Carter Brown added 64 rushing yards, Brenner Konrad recorded 53 yards and a score on seven carries, while Kade Korleski rushed 11 times for 51 yards in the win. Caden Bohnenberger caught the lone touchdown pass from 10 yards out while Korleski led the defense with eight tackles.

For Spearfish, Kade Vavruska totaled 62 yards and scored on the ground, while catching five passes for 68 yards and a score as well. Thomas Hughes completed eight of 15 pass attempts for 96 yards and a touchdown, throwing one interception. Brock Lewis led the Spartans defensively with 12 tackles.


Madison 35, Belle Fourche 0

BELLE FOURCHE — Henry Veenhof’s three passing touchdowns lifted Class 11A No. 5 Madison to a high school football victory over Belle Fourche Friday.

Veenhof completed 12-of-22 pass attempts for 246 yards and three touchdowns. Shane Veenhof tallied five catches for 116 yards and a touchdown, while Myles Schneider caught two passes for 57 yards and a score. Caleb Hodges ran the ball 13 times for 86 yards and two touchdowns as well. Caleb Pettersen led the Madison defense with seven tackles.

For BF, Joseph McLennan completed 14-of-23 pass attempts for 152 yards. Marek Manke caught six passes for 55 yards, Caeyn Howard added five for 52 yards, while Howard and Raif Parmeter each had five tackles in the loss.
