Dell Rapids 9, Parkston 8 (9 innings)

MILBANK — Dell Rapids outlasted Parkston for its third consecutive one-run victory at the Class B state Legion baseball tournament Sunday.

Tad Tjaden led the offense batting 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs, Lincoln Fersdahl and Jackson Peppel each recorded two hits, a walk and an RBI, Cole Ruesink had two hits, while Drake Eastman drove in a run on one hit and one walk in the win. Fersdahl earned the victory on the mound in 5.2 innings, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks, striking out four.

For Parkston, Wyatt Anderson took the loss, allowing five runs on six hits and a walk in two innings, striking out three. James Deckert batted 4-for-5 with an RBI, Kolter Kramer drove in three runs on two hits, one double, Taite Klumb had three RBIs on a homer and two walks while Carter Sommer added an RBI on two hits in the loss.


Dakota Valley 4, Winner/Colome 2

MILBANK — Noah Graham tossed a complete game on the mound as Dakota Valley eliminated Winner/Colome from the state tournament Sunday.

Graham allowed two runs on nine hits and a walk in seven innings, striking out three in just 80 pitches in the win. Grady Ramos had two doubles, Graham added two RBIs on two hits while Jack Wiese tallied two RBIs on a double in the win.

For WC, Isaiah Olson took the loss, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks in five innings, striking out three. Zac Olson tallied two RBIs on two hits  and a walk while Camdyn Anderson and Konner Osborn each had two hits in the loss.


Groton 16, Scotland/Menno/Freeman/Canistota 11

MILBANK — Carter Simon drove in four runs on four hits as Groton eliminated Scotland/Menno/Freeman/Canistota from the state tournament.

Simon batted 4-for-5 with a homer and four RBIs, Korbin Kucker and Brevin Fliehs each drove in three runs on three hits, Gavin Englund and Nick Morris each had two RBIs on a hit and a walk, Braxton Imrie recorded two hits and two walks while Alex Abeln tallied an RBI  on one hit in the win. Abeln took the win on the mound in 5.2 innings, allowing five unearned runs on three hits and a walk, striking out seven.

For SMFC, Riley Tschetter took the loss, allowing six runs on four hits and six walks in two innings, striking out two. Kory Keppen drove in four runs on two hits, Tschetter had two RBIs on one hit, Rocky Ammann and Bryce Sattler each drove in a run on one hit in the loss.
