Class A 111, Class AA 105

SALEM — Dakota Valley’s Isaac Bruns powered Class A to a six-point win over Class AA at the 3-Class Shoot-Out on Saturday.

Bruns recorded 32 points, eight rebounds and five 3-pointers. Dakota Valley’s Randy Rosenquist logged 19 points and three 3-pointers. St. Thomas More’s Caleb Hollenbeck added 15 points, five 3-pointers and five rebounds. Mount Vernon/Plankinton’s Reed Rus had eight points, while Madison’s Aiden Jensen logged eight points and 10 boards. 

For Class AA, Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Matt Eng had 26 points and eight 3-pointers. Jefferson’s Taylen Ashley had 19 points. Pierre’s Jackson Edman and Jefferson’s Kaden Year had 10 points apiece. Harrisburg’s Ethan Determan and Yankton’s Rugby Ryken had nine points apiece. Lincoln’s Elliot Whitney had eight points, eight rebounds and five assists.

Class A 129, Class B 111

SALEM — Five players scored in double figures to pace Class A to a win over Class B at the 3-Class Shoot-Out on Saturday.

Hanson’s Ethan Cheeseman posted a team-high 29 points and hit four 3-pointers. Sioux Valley’s Oliver Vincent recorded 25 points, seven rebounds and five 3-pointers. Dakota Valley’s Isaac Bruns logged 19 points and seven rebounds. St. Thomas More’s Caleb Hollenbeck added 13 points and four rebounds. Waubay/Summit’s Damon Opdahl had 12 points. Dakota Valley’s Randy Rosenquist added nine points, five rebounds and four assists. 

For Class B, White River’s Joe Sayler had a game-high 37 points and hit nine 3-pointers. He was named the Class B MVP. Bridgewater-Emery’s Sutton Arend logged 12 points and eight boards. Aberdeen Christian’s Malek Wieker posted 12 points, while teammate Ethan Russell had 12 points. De Smet’s Damon Wilkinson logged 10 points and 13 rebounds. Lower Brule’s Brian LaRoche and Gavin Thigh scored nine points apiece. Philip’s Sam Hand scored six points.
