MITCHELL — The pairings for the boys Hanson Classic have been announced. The annual classic is Jan. 21 at the Corn Palace.

The event features seven Class B and Class A teams either ranked or receiving votes in the latest South Dakota Prep Media Basketball Poll. 

The classic features three top-5 matchups to close the night. Class B No. 3 De Smet plays Class B No. 5 Lower Brule in a rematch of last season’s state championship at 5:30 p.m.

Class B No. 1 White River plays Class B No. 2 Aberdeen Christian at 7 p.m.

Class A No. 1 Dakota Valley plays Class A No. 2 Sioux Valley in a rematch of last season’s state championship at 8:30 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Game times are approximate and games will start 15 minutes following completion of the previous game.

The Hanson Classic will be available on pay-per-view at www.beavers.liveticket.tv. The cost of the PPV daily ticket will be $12.50, as with personally attending, the PPV ticket purchase will allow access to all scheduled girls games on Jan. 14. PPV Pre-Sales begin Jan. 17.
