Volga 8, Milbank 5

MILBANK — Volga surged past Milbank during the Heritage Classic on Saturday.

Broden Teske tallied two runs on a hit and two walks, Wyatt Hardt had two hits, a double, and an RBI, Bret Milton added two hits, Kellon Tucker and Braden Danzeisen each had an RBI on one hit while Miles Antonen and Regan Schwartz each had an RBI in the win.

Teske took the win on the mound in 5.2 innings, allowing five unearned runs on eight hits and three walks, striking out five.

For Milbank, Zach Karges took the loss in 2.2 innings, allowing five runs on four hits and four walks, striking out three.

Mason Allen had three hits and an RBI while Mack Koplin and Bennett Hunt each had two hits in the loss.


Sisseton 10, Redfield 5

MILBANK — LJ Crooks struck out nine batters as Sisseton topped Redfield in the Heritage Classic on Saturday.

Crooks allowed five runs on nine hits in six innings pitched, striking out nine in the winning effort.

Levi Nelson had four hits, a double and an RBI, Carter Stickland and Rylan Anderson each had two RBIs on one hit while Max Dahlen drove in a run as well.

For Redfield, Jet Kleinsasser took the loss in two innings pitched, allowing five runs on four hits and two walks.

Logan LaBrie had two RBIs on two hits, Aiden Frankenstein and Tate Bray each had two hits and an RBI while Noah Johnson added an RBI-single in the loss.


Redfield 9, Warner/Ipswich/Northville 2 (4 innings)

MILBANK — Redfield took down Warner/Ipswich/Northville during the Heritage Classic on Saturday.

Chase Odland had three RBIs on a triple for Redfield, Noah Johnson added two RBIs on a double, Micah Zastrow had two hits and an RBI while Jet Kleinsasser totaled two hits in the win.

Grady Hulscher earned the win on the mound in four innings pitched, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks, striking out six.

For WIN, Quinn Huetl took the loss in 3.1 innings, allowing seven runs on six hits and three walks, striking out two.

Lincoln Kroll had an RBI on one hit in the loss.


Parkston 4, Groton 1

MILBANK — Grady Bowar tossed seven strong innings as Parkston topped Groton at the Heritage Classic on Saturday.

Bowar allowed just one run on four hits and a walk in seven complete innings, striking out seven in the win.

Bowar added a two-RBI-single as well for Parkston, Kaden Holzbauer and Jaxx Kurtenbach each had an RBI on a hit while Mason Jervik collected two hits in the win.

For Groton, Jarrett Erdmann took the loss in 5.2 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and four walks, striking out six.

Carter Simon drove in the lone run in the loss for Post 39.


Parkston 8, Castlewood 0 (5 innings)

MILBANK — Johnny Weber tossed a five-inning one-hitter as Parkston shutout Castlewood in the Heritage Classic on Saturday.

Weber allowed just one hit in five shutout innings, striking out five batters. Mason Jervik and Gage Jodozi each had two RBIs on a hit, Carson Bueber drove in a run on two walks while Trey Boettcher added an RBI in the win.

For Castlewood, Dante Schortzman took the loss allowing four runs on two hits and four walks.

Schortzman had the lone hit in the loss.


Clark/Willow Lake 6, Big Stone City 1

WEBSTER — Clark/Willow Lake cruised to a Legion baseball win over Big Stone City on Saturday.

Max Bratland tallied two RBIs for CWL, Will Hovde had two walks and an RBI, Charlie Luvaas added an RBI-walk while Cooper Pommer collected two hits in the win. Hovde took the win on the mound in four shutout innings, allowing a hit and two walks, striking out four.

For BSC, Kirby Olson took the loss in 6.1 innings, allowing six runs on six hits and five walks, striking out two.

Connor Ohm and Ayden Nelson each had a hit in the loss.


Clark/Willow Lake 1, LaMoure (N.D.) 0

WEBSTER — Watson Grantham tossed a no-hitter as Clark/Willow Lake took down LaMoure, North Dakota, in Legion action on Saturday.

Grantham allowed just one walk in seven no-hit innings, striking out 10 in the win.

Grantham and Ky Vandersnick each had a hit in the win.


Rapid City Stars 5, Palace City 4

MITCHELL — Rapid City Post 320 held off Palace City in Legion action on Saturday.

Burke Eschmeyer took the win on the mound in six innings pitched, allowing four runs on four hits and four walks, striking out four.

Tegan Sayles had two RBIs on two hits, Max Speed and Anders Lockhard each added three hits, Ayden Byrd had two hits while Colton Mehlhaff and Ben Hassett both drove in a run on one hit in the win.

Ian Weber took the loss in 5.2 innings, allowing five runs on 11 hits and two walks, striking out three.

Kaiden Allen drove in two runs on one hit in the win while Weber and Jaxson Hartman each had an RBI-single in the loss.


Rapid City Stars 10, Palace City 8

MITCHELL — A six-run fifth inning powered Rapid City Post 320 over Palace City in a Legion doubleheader on Saturday.

Max Speed had two RBIs on two hits, including a homer, Laken Uttecht and Colby Wit each had two hits and an RBI, Noah Wald added two hits, Ayden Byrd had an RBI-walk while Anders Lockhart and Ben Hassett each had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Nate Mailoux took the win on the mound in four innings of work, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks, striking out four.

For PC, Jacob Ebert took the loss in 4.2 innings, allowing nine runs on seven hits and a walk, striking out two.

Jaxson Hartman and Ian Weber each had two RBIs on two hits while Canon Moller added two RBIs on a hit in the loss.


Chadron (Neb.) 2, Sturgis 0

CHADRON — Brody Royer struck out 10 batters as Sturgis fell to Chadron, Nebraska, in Legion action on Saturday.

Royer allowed two runs on four hits and three walks, striking out 10 in the loss.

Landon Lyons and Royer each had two walks in the loss.


Sidney (Neb.) 15, Sturgis 6 (6 innings)

CHADRON — Sturgis fell to Sidney, Nebraska, in Legion action on Saturday.

Blake Kaufman, Jeren Andrzejewski and Blake Kaufman each had an RBI while E Cermak tallied two hits.

Cael Pool tossed 3.1 innings for Sturgis, allowing eight runs on 11 hits, striking out two.


Dakota Valley 4, Marshall (Minn.) 2

MILROY — Noah Graham struck out eight batters as Dakota Valley defeated Marshall, Minnesota, in Legion baseball action on Saturday.

Graham allowed two runs on five hits in seven complete innings, striking out eight in the win.

Graham added a two-RBI-double for the Panthers while Jack Wiese drove in a run on a double in the win as well.


Dakota Valley 7, Kasson (Minn.) 4

MILROY — Dakota Valley took down Kasson, Minnesota, in Legion action on Saturday.

Sterling Schauff earned the win on the mound in five innings pitched, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks, striking out six.

Schauff and Vincent Hoffman each had two RBIs on a hit, Noah Graham added two hits while Jack Wiese, Grady Ramos and Jackson Shoulders all drove in a run in the win.
