OACOMA — Oacoma’s Nash Hutmacher is going to Baltimore.

The Chamberlain Cub signed as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night following the conclusion of the 3-day NFL draft.

Hutmacher, a 6-foor-3, 314-pound defensive tackle played nose tackle for the University of Nebraska in college. Hutmacher was an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention his junior and senior years for the Huskers.

Hutmacher oftentimes saw multiple doubleteams from opposing teams as he anchored the Huskers' 3-3-5 defense in the nose guard spot.

During his senior campaign, Hutmacher started all 13 games, recording 24 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks and one forced fumble.

Hutmacher helped lead the Huskers to their first bowl game since 2016 as Nebraska met Boston College in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl.

Hutmacher was invited and played in the East-West Shrine Bowl in January.

NFL analyst Lance Zierlein said about Hutmacher: "With broad hips, a barrel chest and short arms, Hutmacher is built for combat in tight spaces. He’s a leverage-based nose tackle who can play under the pads of single blocks and slow down double-teams, but his lack of length makes him more of a block fighter than block controller. He can bully his way into the backfield if he finds an edge but does not have enough rush talent by NFL standards. Hutmacher’s toughness and power could give him a chance of making a roster as a backup nose tackle."
