All season long Brandon Valley has been the consensus No. 1 ranked team in Class A wrestling. While undefeated in dual wrestling the Lynx were ranked behind Watertown all season. That changed on Feb. 10 when Brandon Valley beat Watertown, 52-18. That win improved the season record to 19-0 and vaulted the team into the No. 1 seed for the upcoming state dual competition. 

Rapid City Stevens has been steadily improving throughout the season. The Raiders are well back of Brandon Valley in this week’s team rankings, but well ahead of the rest of the field as the No. 2 team in the state. 

The Region 2A meet is Friday in Brandon. Regions 1A (Sioux Falls O’Gorman), 3A (Milbank) and Region 4A (Douglas) all take place on Saturday, Feb. 19.
