Douglas’ Jason Maciejczak continues to hold down the leaderboards in the Class AA boys top-10 discus and shot put events. 

The junior has the best shot put mark, unleashing a throw of 59-feet and five inches earlier this season. He’s also got the best discus mark after throwing 175-8 at the recent Howard Wood Dakota Relays in Sioux Falls.

Sioux Falls Washington’s Kael Miedema is just behind Maciejczak in both events. 

Spearfish sprinter Jaden Guthmiller continues to lead the 100-meter dash (:10.45) and 200-meter dash (:21.74) events. 

Fresh off his dazzling 3,200-meter run at Howard Wood Dakota Relays, Rapid City Stevens’ Simeon Birnbaum boasts four top-10 times. He’s No. 1 in the 3,200-meter run (8:55.22), the 1,600-meter run (4:06.51) and the 800-meter run (1:54.55), while he’s third in the 400-meter dash (:49.89). 

At Howard Wood, Watertown’s Owen Spartz distanced himself from the pole vault field, clearing 15-feet and three-inches. Harrisburg’s Beau Karst and Noah Ford are both tied for second with 14-feet marks.
