Sioux Falls Jefferson 53, Harrisburg 41

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Sioux Falls Jefferson advanced to the Class AA semifinal with a win over Harrisburg Thursday

Griffin Wilde paced Jefferson with 18 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Taylen Ashley finished with 13 points, two rebounds, four assists and two steals while Kaden Year chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds. 

Jacoby Mehrman led Harrisburg with 17 points, four rebounds and two steals. Camden Phipps added eight points while Maxwell Knutson chipped in with seven points and six rebounds. 

Mitchell 60, Pierre 51

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures at Mitchell earned a win over Pierre Thursday at the Class AA state tournament. 

Morgan Steele led Mitchell with 18 points and two rebounds. Aiden Myers finished with 13 points, two rebounds and a steal. Markus Talley added 11 points while Dylan Soulek scored eight points for Mitchell. 

Lincoln Kienholz led Pierre with 19 points, three rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals. Jackson Edman finished with 14 points and nine rebounds while Benjamin Heisler chipped in with six points and six rebounds. 

Yankton 58, Sioux Falls Washington 51

RAPID CITY —  Mac Ryken and Drew Ryken combined to score 42 points as Yankton knocked off Sioux Falls Washington Thursday in the first round of the Class AA state tournament. 

Mac Ryken powered Yankton with 29 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Drew Ryken added 13 points and two rebounds. Isaiah Schelhaas added eight points for Yankton. 

Gage Gasca led Washington with 17 points and five rebounds. AJ Akot added 15 points while Zharic Sheppard and Mandalla Mohamed each scored seven points for the Warriors.
