Potter County 60, Lyman 58 

GETTYSBURG — Tyler Simon hit two free throws with 4.9 seconds left to propel Potter County to a girls basketball win over Lyman on Saturday.

Simon finished with 22 points and eight rebounds, while Kayden Cronin added 19 points and 12 rebounds. Ashlee Kaup recorded 10 points. 

Lyman’s Skyler Volmer logged 24 points and eight rebounds. Mak Scott added 22 points and 11 boards. Annie Brakke scored five points. 


Garretson 58, Chester Area 29

GARRETSON — Four players scored in double figures to lift Garretson to a girls basketball win over Chester Area on Saturday. 

Sydney Olson led Garretson with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Logan Bly added 11 points, five steals and three blocked shots. Jordyn Williams and Kylie Christensen scored 10 points apiece. Adi Fink grabbed nine rebounds. 

Chester Area’s Emery Larson logged 16 points and Emerson Eppard grabbed 10 rebounds. Jacy Wolf added five steals. 


Alcester-Hudson 44, Menno 35

MENNO — Alcester-Hudson picked up a girls basketball win over Menno on Saturday.

Alcester-Hudson’s Alexis Gray had 16 points, four steals, and two assists, while Elly Doering tallied 11 points, six rebounds, and four steals. Ella Serck added six points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Menno’s Layne Schmidt led with 10 points, while Abby Bender had nine points, three assists, and three steals. Ashton Massey tallied seven points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. Allison Lehr added six points, seven rebounds, and four assists.


Elk Point-Jefferson 66, Madison 33

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson doubled up Madison for a girls basketball win on Saturday.

EPJ was led by Kaitlyn VanRoekel and Ashley Brewer with 16 points apiece. Bentlee Kollbaum tallied 12 points and five rebounds, while Cera Schmitz added seven points.

Madison was led by Callie McDermott with 10 points and five rebounds, while Karley Lurz and Ellie Osthus each had five points.


Hitchcock-Tulare 57, Ipswich 30

IPSWICH — Hitchcock-Tulare raced past Ipswich for a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Hitchcock-Tulare’s Cambree Hoekman led with 18 points, while Katelyn Schroeder tallied 16 points. Isabel Gilbert and Gracyn Bixler each had six points.

Ipswich’s Gabby Wald scored eight points, while Kaylin Onken and Baylee Kulesa each had six points.


Platte-Geddes 51, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 45

NEW HOLLAND — Platte-Geddes held off Andes Central/Dakota Christian in a girls basketball game on Saturday.

PG was led by Hadley Hanson with 21 points, while Cadence Van Zee tallied 15 points. Karly VanDerWerff added eight points and eight rebounds.

AC/DC’s Josie Brouwer led with 18 points, while Allison Muckey had eight points. Halle Olson tallied eight points, seven rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Isabella Brouwer added five rebounds.


Corsica-Stickney 72, Colome 16

COLOME — Three players scored in double figures to lift Colome to a girls basketball win over Colome on Saturday. 

Sydney Spaans finished with 19 points, while Payton DeLange added 14 points. Mara Lagge had 11 points. Jacey Kemp had six points and four rebounds. Brooklyn Bosma and Ashlyn Lefers scored five points apiece, while Lefers had five assists. 

Colome’s Toree Ringing Shield and Maura Luedke scored four points apiece. 


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 57, Sunshine Bible Academy 7

WOONSOCKET — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket raced past Sunshine Bible Academy for a girls basketball win on Saturday.

SCW was led by Liz Boschee with 20 points, while Kennedy Ochsner had seven points and six assists. Kameron Ochsner had six points, six assists, and four steals. Kara Wormstadt had five assists, while Kali Hofer added five steals.

SBA was led by Betra Amare with three points. Lydia Lo and Abby Hinman each had two points, while Hinman added five rebounds and three steals. Annaliese VanZee added nine rebounds.


Great Plains Lutheran 54, Nebraska Lutheran, Neb., 34

NEW ULM, Minn. — Great Plains Lutheran picked up a girls basketball win over Nebraska Lutheran at the Martin Luther College Tip-off Tournament on Saturday.

Great Plains Lutheran’s Esta Cameron tallied 11 points, while Olivia Holmen had 10 points and six rebounds. Katherine Prahl recorded nine points, while Madeline Prahl had six points and five rebounds. Abby Kjenstad added six rebounds and four assists.


Rapid City Stevens 55, Aberdeen Central 52

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Stevens held off Aberdeen Central for a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Rapid City Stevens was led by Taaliyah Porter with 20 points and five rebounds, while Macey Wathen recorded 15 points and seven rebounds. Hailey Oswald tallied 14 points.

Aberdeen Central’s Sydney Evans led with 15 points and six steals, while Caydi Withers tallied 14 points and 11 rebounds. Lauryn Burckhard had 11 points and eight rebounds.
