Tiospa Zina 49, Marty 37

RAPID CITY — Tiospa Zina outlasted Marty for the Makosica bracket championship at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Tiospa Zina was led by Reondre Greeley and Storm Sierra with 14 points apiece. Juan Rios had seven points and nine rebounds, while Tate Never Misses A Shot added six points.

Marty was led by Terill Rave with 14 points and 16 rebounds, while Kizer Ashes had seven points. Benicio Zephier added six points and nine steals.


Lower Brule 81, Lakota Tech 33

RAPID CITY — Lower Brule cruised past Lakota Tech for a third place finish in the Oceti Sakowin bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Lower Brule was led by Brian LaRoche Jr. with 20 points, while Tayshawn Battese logged 16 points and seven rebounds. Lane Gray had 12 points, while Ellwyn Langdeau tallied 11 points and four steals. Gavin Thigh added 10 points.

Lakota Tech was led by Marvin Richard III with nine points, while Jordan Whirlwind Horse had eight points.


Red Cloud 65, Custer 52

RAPID CITY — Red Cloud earned a fifth place finish over Custer in the Oceti Sakowin bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Red Cloud’s Adriano Rama scored 26 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Gabriel Brooks tallied 11 points and eight rebounds, while Josiah Cottier had 10 points. Haedyn Haas had eight points, while Monty Montileaux had six points and 10 rebounds.

Custer’s Kyle Virtue scored 18 points and six boards, while Rhett Lowe had 14 points. Roland Sedlacek had six points.


Crow Creek 65, St. Francis 49

RAPID CITY — Crow Creek earned a third place finish over St. Francis in the Makosica bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

St. Francis was led by Sean Redday with 15 points, while Cante Kills In Water tallied 14 points. Darin Arcoren Jr. had six points, while Shane Henry added seven rebounds.

Crow Creek stats were not reported.


Little Wound 68, Wall 51

RAPID CITY — Little Wound pulled away from Wall for a fifth place finish in the Makosica bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Little Wound’s Cashus Hunter totaled 19 points and five rebounds, while Tatanka Catches Enemy had 13 points. Tristen Kills Small had nine points, while Storm Shot With Arrow added eight points.

Wall’s Cedar Amiotte tallied 12 points and eight rebounds, while Brodi Sundall had 10 points and seven rebounds. Dawson Handcock had nine points, while Ben Amundson had eight points.


McLaughlin 55, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 37

RAPID CITY — McLaughlin pulled away from Cheyenne-Eagle Butte for a seventh place finish in the Makosica bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

McLaughlin’s Elias Sims logged 19 points, while Raymond Yellow Earrings tallied 14 points. Renzo Bull Head added five points and seven rebounds.

CEB’s MacKenzie Cass led with 11 points and eight rebounds, while Damien Clown added seven points.


Omaha Nation (Neb.) 73 vs Crazy Horse 71

RAPID CITY — Omaha Nation edged Crazy Horse for the He Sapa bracket championship at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Omaha Nation’s Kenyon White Eyes erupted for 41 points, while Keiyan Parker had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Avande Parker-Galvin tallied 12 points.

Crazy Horse’s Noah Iron Horse recorded 31 points, seven rebounds, and five steals, while Hyden Martin tallied 26 points. 


Santee (Neb.) 75, Wakpala 67

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures as Santee defeated Wakpala for third place in the He Sapa bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Santee was led by Austyn Saul with 25 points, while Nunpa Torrez had 15 points. Tasunka Starlin had 14 points, while Justus Denney tallied 10 points. Kellen Medina added nine points and 11 rebounds.

Wakpala’s Ashtyn Kills Small tallied 17 points, while Antoine Mellette had 13 points. Jacob Moran had 11 points and 14 rebounds, while Wakiya Plenty Chief had 11 points Ean Black Fox added seven points.


Tiospaye Topa 61, Dupree 59

RAPID CITY — Tiospaye Topa edged Dupree to earn a fifth place finish in the He Sapa bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Tiospaye Topa’s Kris Meeter logged 33 points and 18 rebounds, while Dennis Sand III tallied eight points and 10 rebounds. Jakolby Rousseau added eight points and five rebounds.

Dupree’s Randen Eagle Chasing led with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Jayden Marshall had 12 points. Klayte McLellan and Braydon Terveen-Smith each had 10 points.


Takini 54, Oelrichs 26

RAPID CITY — Takini raced past Oelrichs to earn seventh place in the He Sapa bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Takini was led by Damion Yellow Owl with 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Logan Quilt tallied 12 points and 16 rebounds. Redick Curley added eight points and seven rebounds.

Oelrichs was led  by Stanley Walking with 20 points and nine rebounds.


Pine Ridge 74, Todd County 44

RAPID CITY — Pine Ridge raced past Todd County for a seventh place finish in the Oceti Sakowin bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Pine Ridge was led by Anthony Steele with 14 points, while Justin Eagle had 10 points and six rebounds. Jaylin Rouillard had 10 points, while Kanye Hollow Horn had nine points and six rebounds.

Todd County was led by Charles Long with nine points, while Stephan Guerue had eight points. Ray Crow had seven points, while Drake Espinoza added six points.
