Deubrook Area sweeps titles at Jesse James Invitational

GARRETSON — Deubrook Area swept team titles at Saturday’s Jesse James Invitational. 

The Deubrook Area boys recorded 129 points, finishing ahead of Baltic (113) and Chester (109). The Deubrook Area girls logged 143.5 points, ahead of Dell Rapids (113) and Baltic (105).

In boys action, Chester’s Jovi Wolf won the 100-meter dash (:11.25), 200-meter dash (:23.14), the 400-meter dash (:50.68) and the long jump (21-0.5). 

Deubrook Area’s Ty Landmark won the 300-meter hurdles (:47.08) and teammate Jake Jorenby won the triple jump (40-1.25). 

The Deubrook Area boys won the 1,600-meter relay (3:31.18), 3,200-meter relay (8:28.93) and sprint medley relay (3:46.15). 

The Tri-Valley boys won the 400-meter relay (:45.82) and 800-meter relay (1:36.17).

In girls action, Chester’s Emery Larson won the 3,200-meter run (11:17.08) and placed second in the 400-meter dash (1:03.85). 

Deubrook Area’s Kylee Johnson won the 400-meter dash (1:03.11), Nora Olsen won the 1,600-meter run (5:33.72) and Akasha Gorecki won the high jump (4-8). 

The Deubrook Area girls won the 1,600-meter relay (4:27.85) and 3,200-meter relay (10:14.52).
