Elk Point-Jefferson alum and North Dakota senior Kenna Curry earned the Summit League women’s outdoor Athlete of the Year award for the 2025 season.

As a graduate senior, Curry became the first competitor in UND history to be crowned Women’s Field Championship MVP, scoring 28 points during the Outdoor Championships.

She won the hammer throw title at the conference championships with a toss of 223-1,  shot put title with a mark of 51-06.25, and took second in discus tossing a mark of 163-7.

Curry also qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the hammer throw, recording a 208-2 mark in the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds. Curry finished seventh at the NCAA Championships with a hammer throw toss of 223-7, earning first team All-American honors.
