Elk Point-Jefferson 55, Beresford 49

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson edged Beresford for a boys basketball win on Friday.

EPJ's Jakob Scarmon finished with 13 points and five rebounds. Chace Fornia and Easton Kempf scored 12 points apiece. Kempf added eight rebounds. Garrett Merkley scored seven points, while Alexander Scarmon scored five points. 

Beresford's Jake Goblirsch and Andrew Atwood scored 11 points apiece. Goblirsch grabbed 10 rebounds. Aidan Hamm scored 10 points. Tate VanOtterloo recorded eight points, while Malachi James scored seven points. 


Highmore-Harrold 59, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 54

WOONSOCKET — Mason Knox and Carson Stephenson combined for 34 points as Highmore-Harrold earned a win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in boys basketball action Friday.

Knox finished with 20 points and five rebounds to lead Highmore-Harrold. Stephenson added 14 points in Friday’s win. 

Jeff Boschee led Sanborn Central/Woonsocket with 25 points and eight rebounds. 


Burke 52, North Central, Neb., 51

BURKE — Reed Benter’s big night helped Burke to a win over North Central, NE in boys basketball action Friday. 

Benter finished with 30 points and eight rebounds. Sawyer Tietgen and Jaden Swan each scored six points for Burke while Nick Nelson had four assists.


Gregory 63, Scotland 30

SCOTLAND — Noah Bearshield and Daniel Mitchell led Gregory past Scotland in boys basketball action on Friday.

Bearshield posted 22 points, while Mitchell added 19 points. 

Scotland’s Ashton Dennis scored 16 points. 


West Central 47, Madison 44

HARTFORD — A balanced scoring attack helped West Central pick up a win over Madison in boys basketball action Friday. 

Trevin Price paced West Central with 15 points and two assists. Brodie Herr added nine points and five rebounds while Connor Eich had eight points. Carter Schmeichel added four points, seven assists, seven rebounds and two steals. 

Aiden Jensen led Madision with 15 points. Andrew Comes had 13 points while Eli Barger added eight points. 


Herreid-Selby Area 51, Mobridge-Pollock 47

MOBRIDGE — Tray Hettick’s big night helped Herreid-Selby Area earn a win over Mobridge-Pollock in boys basketball action Friday. 

Hettick finished with 24 points to lead all scorers. Gavin Hannon, Trevor Gill and Mason Vetter each scored six points for the Wolverines. 

Michael Wald led Mobridge-Pollock with 14 points while Jackson Eisemann had 12 points. 


Harrisburg 69, Rapid City Central 37

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as the Harrisburg Tigers picked up a win over Rapid City Central in boys basketball action Friday. 

Braeden VanBrockern led the Harrisburg offense with 20 points. Jacoby Mehrman finished with 17 points and five rebounds while Ethan Deteman had 12 points and four rebounds. 

Shun-Zi White Woman led Rapid City Central with nine points while Jet Janvrin scored eight points for the Cobblers. 


Huron 60, Aberdeen Central 57

HURON — Reilyn Zavesky and Dylan Lichty combined for 40 points as Huron picked up a win over Aberdeen Central in boys basketball action Friday. 

Zavesky led the Huron offense with 25 points and eight rebounds. Lichty finished with 15 points while CJ Gainey added eight points.

Carter Dingman and Spencer Barr each scored 17 points to lead Aberdeen Central. Parker Lemer added 11 points with Jett Carlson chipping in with 10 points.
