Ethan 50, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 35

ETHAN — Class B No. 4 Ethan held off Andes Central/Dakota Christian for a girls basketball win on Monday. 

Ethan’s Ava Lingemann finished with 19 points, while Marissa Storm added 11 points. Leah Klock recorded 10 points. 

ACDC’s Josie Brouwer finished with 11 points, five rebounds and three steals. Allison Muckey had nine points, seven rebounds and four assists. Halle Olson added seven points and eight rebounds. 


Hanson 76, Beresford 47

ALEXANDRIA — Four players scored in double figures as Hanson picked up a win over Beresford in girls basketball action Monday. 

Eliza Oltmanns powered the Beavers with 17 points and six rebounds. Alyssa Moschell had 13 points and seven rebounds. Annalyse Weber had 12 points and five steals while Taziah Hawkins added 11 points. 

Ella Merriman led Beresford with 18 points while Savanna Beesen added nine points. 


Parkston 70, Bon Homme 40

PARKSTON — Four players scored in double figures to pace Parkston to a girls basketball win on Monday.

Parkston’s Abby Hohn finished with 18 points and four rebounds, while Keeara Oakley added 11 points and six rebounds. Mya Thuringer had 10 points and five rebounds. Gracie Oakley logged nine points and seven rebounds. 

Bon Homme’s Jaden Kortan finished with 11 points and four rebounds. Erin Heusinkveld added nine points and nine rebounds. Kenadee Kozak had eight points. 


Tri-Valley 63, McCook Central/Montrose 44

COLTON — Three players scored in double figures as Tri-Valley picked up a win over McCook Central/Montrose in girls basketball action Monday. 

Lauren Grinde led the Mustangs attack with 23 points. Madelyn Wenzel scored 13 points while Hailey Sorenson scored ten points. 

Abby Wagner led the Fighting Cougars with 11 points with Michaela McCormick adding nine points for the night. 


Avon 59, Gayville-Volin 44

AVON — Three players scored in double figures as Avon picked up a win over Gayville-Volin in girls basketball action Monday. 

Courtney Sees led the Pirates with 23 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Sees also scored her 1,000th career point. McKenna Kocmich added 17 points while Lila Vanderlei contributed 12 points and five rebounds. 

Maia Achen led Gayville-Volin with 20 points and six rebounds. Keely Larson added seven points. 


Brandon Valley 73, Tea Area 65

BRANDON — Hilary Behrens powered Brandon Valley to a girls basketball win over Tea Area on Monday. 

Behrens logged 31 points, seven rebounds, seven steals and three 3-pointers for the Lynx. Kennedi Deckert added 16 points and four rebounds. Ava Kellenberger finished with 11 points. Paisley Hoff had eight points, while Jaida Metzger added five points. 

Tea Area’s Katie Vasecka logged 31 points, nine rebounds and three 3-pointers. Kendra McKinney tallied nine points, six assists and five rebounds. Mara Grant recorded eight points and 14 boards. Haidyn West had eight points, while Stella Peterson had seven points, four rebounds and four assists. 


Boys

Jones County 58, New Underwood 33

MURDO — Three players scored in double figures to pace Jones County to a boys basketball win on Monday. 

Cooper Feddersen finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Kaden Kinsley and Bryer Kinsley scored 10 points apiece. Jett Nix added nine points, five rebounds and five assists. Jace Nix recorded six points. 

New Underwood’s Cash Albers and Jaxon Fulton scored eight points apiece. Eli Kelley scored five points. 


Colman-Egan 48, Iroquois/Lake Preston 43

COLMAN — Jase Mousel and Jackson Zwart combined to score 31 points as Colman-Egan held off Iroquois/Lake Preston in boys basketball action Monday. 

Mousel came off the bench to lead Colman-Egan with 17 points and four rebounds. Swart added 14 points and six rebounds while Sawyer Uhing chipped in with seven points. 

Logan Peskey led Iroquois/Lake Preston with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Riley Casper had a solid night with 11 points and eight rebounds. 


Deuel 60, Deubrook Area 42

DEUEL — A balanced scoring attack helped Deuel to a win over Deubrook Area in boys basketball action Monday. 

Braydon Simon powered the Deuel attack with 17 points and six rebounds. Dravyn Carlson added 11 points and seven rebounds while Gavin Benck scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds. 

Jacob Jorenby led Deubrook Area with 16 points while Gunnar Trooien added seven points for the Dolphins. 


Gregory 62, Colome 32

GREGORY — Three players scored in double figures as Gregory earned a win over Colome in boys basketball action Monday. 

Noah Bearshield powered Gregory with 14 points and seven rebounds. Daniel Mitchell added 10 points and six rebounds. Cruz Klundt finished with nine assists and seven rebounds while Lincoln Juracek added 10 points. 

Joseph Laprath led Colome with nine points while Billy Looking Cloud added seven points. 


Milbank 55, Estelline/Hendricks 42

ESTELLINE — Three players scored in double figures as Milbank picked up a win over Estelline/Hendricks in boys basketball action Monday. 

Jaxson Wildung powered the Milbank attack with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Joe Schulte finished with 10 points and five rebounds while Justus Osborn added 10 points. 

Joe McAninch led Estelline/Hendricks with 18 points. Wyat James added 11 points and four rebounds.
