Mitchell 62, Pierre 55

MITCHELL — Class AA No. 3 Mitchell outscored Pierre 14-11 in the fourth quarter to help secure a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Markus Talley led the Kernels with 16 points and five rebounds. Steele Morgan added 14 points and five rebounds, while Dylan Soulek had 11 points and three assists. Charlie McCardle had 10 points and nine rebounds. Colton Smith scored six points. 

Pierre’s Lincoln Kienholz tossed in 25 points. Benjamin Heisler added 11 points, while Jackson Edman had 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Brecken Krueger had six points. 

 

Flandreau Indian 71, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 58 

RAMONA --- Flandreau Indian's Malik Longie erupted for 56 points in a boys basketball win on Thursday.

It is Longie's second 50-point outing this season, as he scored 53 points earlier this season at the Dakota Oyate Challenge in Huron. 


Viborg-Hurley 59, Howard 39 

HURLEY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Viborg-Hurley to a boys basketball win over Howard on Thursday.

Nick Hanson finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Brady Schroedermeier added 14 points, six rebounds and three assists. Kobee Sherman logged 11 points and five rebounds. Gage Goettertz posted eight points, eight rebounds and five assists. 

Howard’s Luke Koepsell scored 15 points and Taiden Hoyer added 12 points. 


Dakota Valley 85, Canton 49 

CANTON — Class A No. 1 Dakota Valley improved to 18-0 with a boys basketball win over Canton on Thursday.

Isaac Bruns led the Panthers with 28 points and 21 rebounds. Jaxson Wingert and Jaxon Hennies scored 15 points apiece. 


Hamlin 56, Clark/Willow Lake 42

HAYTI — Three players scored in double figures to pace Hamlin to a boys basketball victory on Thursday. 

Tyson Stevenson scored 19 points, while Jackson Wadsworth added 11 points. Easton Neuendorf logged 10 points and Brennan Keszler scored nine points. 

Clark/Willow Lake’s Trey Huber scored 16 points and Brady Jordan finished with 10 points. Kaplan Felberg scored eight points and Cole Heiman had six points. 


Rapid City Christian 77, Hill City 51

HILL CITY — Rapid City Christian used a strong third quarter to upend Hill City in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Benson Kieffer led the Comets with 21 points and six assists. Elijah Hoyt added 18 points and seven rebounds while Julius Frog added ten points. Sam Fischer added seven points and nine rebounds. 

Devin Buehler had 19 points and Alex Stoeckmann had 17 points to lead the Rangers.  


Deubrook Area 58, Elkton-Lake Benton 48

ELKTON — Jacob Jorenby and Gavin Landmark combined to score 33 points as Deubrook Area picked up a boys basketball win over Elkton-Lake Benton Thursday. 

Jorenby led all scorers with 20 points. Landmark tossed in 13 points while Landen Johnson chipped in with eight points. 

Ryan Krog led Elkton-Lake Benton with 15 points, two rebounds and four steals. Tanner Stein added 11 points while Tanner Drietz dished out seven assists. 


Marty 85, Centerville 42

CENTERVILLE — Four players scored in double figures as Marty picked up a win over Centerville in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Benicio Zephier powered the Braves with 27 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and two steals. Greg Zephier had a big night with 22 points, three assists and four steals. Kizer Ashes added 15 points while Julius Bruguier scored 14 for the Braves. 

Logan Bobzin led Centerville with 13 points while Alec Austin chipped in with eight points and two rebounds. 


Potter County 67, Ipswich 59

GETTYSBURG — Ryder Falkenhagen pumped in 38 points to power Potter County to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Falkenhagen shot 12 of 19 from the field, 13 of 15 at the free-throw line and collected nine rebounds. Landon Larson logged 15 points and three 3-pointers. Skyler Van Well had six points, while Alex Tanner had nine rebounds. Jhett Simon grabbed five rebounds. 

Ipswich’s Trevor Heinz recorded 16 points, five rebounds and three assists. Ian Beyers posted 13 points, while Tyler Hettich had nine points. Carter Geditz logged eight points and eight boards. Colby Sylte scored six points.


Scotland 54, Gayville-Volin 44

SCOTLAND — Three players scored in double figures to pace Scotland to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Scotland’s Stephen Johnson logged 18 points and four rebounds. Ashton Dennis added 12 points and four assists. Trenten Skorepa had 10 points and six boards. Parker Hochstein logged 12 rebounds, four assists, three steals and three points. 

Gayville-Volin’s Spencer Karstens scored 21 points, while Preston Karstens added 11 points.
