Tripp-Delmont/Armour 52, Freeman Academy-Marion 44

CENTERVILLE — Tripp-Delmont/Armour edged Freeman Academy/Marion for the Great Plains Conference boys basketball championship on Saturday.

Mason Reiner led TDA with 18 points, while Isaac Wunder had 17 points. Jaden Groeneweg added 11 points. 

Connor Epp scored 22 points for FAM. Matthew Hagen added nine points. 


Corsica-Stickney 65, Gayville-Volin 42

CENTERVILLE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Corsica-Stickney to a boys basketball win on Saturday at the Great Plains Conference tournament. 

Shad Bosma logged 23 points, four rebounds and three assists. Tyson Wentland added 12 points and eight boards. Carter Wright recorded 10 points and five rebounds. Sacha Bemurat had nine points, while Lucas Krogstad added five points, four assists and seven rebounds. Lincoln Bruinsma collected six rebounds. 


Avon 50, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 19 

CENTERVILLE — Jaden Stahl tossed in 20 points to power Avon to a boys basketball win at the Great Plains Conference tournament on Saturday.

Landon Thury added 10 points

Andes Central/Dakota Christian’s Garth Maas had five points. 


Alcester-Hudson 69, Burke 61

CENTERVILLE — Alcester-Hudson outlasted Burke for a boys basketball win at the Great Plains Conference tournament on Saturday.

Ethan Bovill scored 25 points, while Dominic Van Egdom scored 20 points to lead the Cubs. 

Burke’s Reed Benter tossed in 34 points. Nick Nelson scored 19 points. 


Centerville 69, Scotland 33

CENTERVILLE — Centerville picked up a boys basketball win over Scotland at the Great Plains Conference tournament on Saturday.

Luke Knight netted 26 points, while Aiden Bobzin had 12 points. Logan Bobzin scored 11 points. Scotland’s Jayce Walloch scored eight points. 


Marty 74, Colome 47

CENTERVILLE — Marty pulled away from Colome for a boys basketball win at the Great Plains Conference tournament on Saturday. 

Marty’s Benicio Zephier finished with 22 points and Greg Zephier added 15 points. Terrill Rave scored 11 points. 

Colome’s Joseph Laprath scored 20 points. 


Mitchell 63, Watertown 47 

WATERTOWN — Colton Smith and Dylan Soulek combined to score 44 points to pace Class AA No. 3 Mitchell to a boys basketball win on Saturday. 

Smith poured in a career-high 26 points and collected five rebounds, while Soulek added 18 points, five rebounds and five assists. 

Watertown’s Caden Beauchamp logged 14 points and Kohen Kranz scored 10 points. Jake Olson had eight points. Dylon Rawdon had seven points and Dalton Baumberger added six points.  


West Central 66, McCook Central/Montrose 47

MONTROSE — Carter Schmeichel and Crew Heier combined to score 30 points to pace West Central to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Schmeichel finished with 16 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Heier added 14 points and six rebounds. Brodie Herr logged eight points, while Connor Eich had seven points. Carter Tetzlaff and Owen Heath scored six points apiece. Heath and Dylan Stromer added six rebounds. 

McCook Central/Montrose’s Owen Alley scored 12 points and hit three 3-pointers. Mason Sabers and Boston Katzer scored 10 points apiece. Katzer logged eight rebounds. Ty Morrison finished with five points and five rebounds. 


Sioux Falls Washington 39, Sioux Falls Jefferson 38 

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Washington upset Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls Jefferson in boys basketball action on Saturday. 

Sioux Falls Washington’s Gage Gasca recorded 13 points and six rebounds. Mandalla Mohamed added 12 points and five rebounds. Zharic Sheppard logged seven points, while Tryg Auten scored five points. 

Jefferson’s Taylen Ashley scored 16 points and hit three 3-pointers. Dawson Sechser scored eight points, while Griffin Wilde had six points and four rebounds. Kaden Year logged four points and six rebounds. 


Iroquois/Lake Preston 67, Elkton-Lake Benton 54

IROQUOIS — Iroquois/Lake Preston pulled away from Elkton-Lake Benton for a boys basketball win on Saturday. 

Iroquois/Lake Preston’s Logan Peskey finished with 25 points, while Josh McMasters added 23 points. Peskey had six rebounds. Riley Casper scored 12 points and Tate Larson added seven points.  

ELB’s Ryan Krog scored 24 points and Carson Griffith added 14 points. 


Girls


Sioux Falls Washington 63, Sioux Falls Roosevelt 25

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Washington jumped out to a 17-3 first-quarter lead en route to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Washington’s Brooklyn Harpe finished with 15 points, while Grace Peterson posted nine points and four rebounds. Alexus Motley had eight points and six rebounds. Taryn Larson and Isabel Carda logged six points apiece. Carda added five rebounds. 

Sioux Falls Roosevelt’s Morgan Johnson recorded 10 points and seven rebounds. Katie Spicer added eight points and seven rebounds. Mateja Cousins had five points.
