Bridgewater-Emery 71, Dell Rapids St. Mary 41

EMERY — Bridgewater-Emery picked up a 30-point boys basketball win on Friday.

Sutton Arend led the Huskies with 22 points, while Ben Weber added 17 points and four blocked shots. 

Dell Rapids St. Mary’s Nic Gaspar scored 13 points. 


White River 73, Lakota Tech 64

WHITE RIVER — Joe Sayler pumped in 47 points to pace Class B No. 4 White River to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Sayler nailed seven 3-pointers in the win. T.J. Beardt logged 13 points, while Nic Marshall added nine points. 

Lakota Tech’s Jordan Whirlwind Horse logged 15 points, while Marvin Richard III scored 13 points. Nate LeBeaux added 11 points and Jamiah Bianis scored nine points. 

Quincy Means and Tevin Elliott posted seven points apiece. 


Hanson 61, Elkton-Lake Benton 43

ALEXANDRIA — Three players scored in double figures to pace Hanson to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Ethan Cheeseman finished with 21 points, nine rebounds, five assists and scored his 1,000th career point. Jayce Slaba added 12 points, while Sutton Dewald scored 10 points. 

Elkton-Lake Benton’s Carson Griffith posted 10 points and Ryan Krog logged nine points. 


Miller 72, Highmore-Harrold 62 

MILLER — Spencer Fernholz scored 31 points to power Miller to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Fernholz also scored his 1,000th career point in the win. 


Mitchell 71, Sioux Falls O’Gorman 70 

MITCHELL — Class AA No. 4 Mitchell edged Sioux Falls O’Gorman for a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Steele Morgan finished with 18 points and nine rebounds. Dylan Soulek added 17 points, five rebounds, three 3-pointers and hit the go-ahead basket with 4.1 seconds left. Colton Smith added 14 points, while Markus Talley had 11 points. Aiden Meyers finished with six points, while Charlie McCardle had five rebounds.

O’Gorman’s Matthew Eng poured in a game-high 32 points and hit eight 3-pointers. Radley Mauney had eight points and four rebounds. Zander Benz and Jade Anstine scored seven points apiece. Payton Hage had six points. 


Dakota Valley 89, Lennox 57

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Class A No. 1 Dakota Valley won its 47th straight boys basketball game on Friday.

Dakota Valley’s Isaac Bruns finished with 29 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Randy Rosenquist Jr., added 18 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds. Jaxson Wingert logged 17 points and five rebounds. Sam Faldmo had 11 points. 

Lennox’s Tate Gerdes finished with 14 points and Porter Ihnen added 13 points. Talan Dierks had 11 points. 


Waubay/Summit 61, Deuel 56

CLEAR LAKE — Four players scored in double figures to pace Waubay/Summit to a boys basketball win over Deuel on Friday. 

Damon Opdahl finished with 18 points, while Jonathan Johnston added 17 points. Jackson Wohlleber scored 11 points and Jared Purdy added 10 points. 

Deuel’s Braydon Simon scored 25 points, while Gavin Benck had 11 points. Trey Maaland added 10 points and Ronnie Begalka scored five points. 


Milbank 59, Tiospa Zina 52

AGENCY VILLAGE — Three players scored in double figures to lift Milbank to a boys basketball win over Tiospa Zina on Friday.

Jaxson Wildung finished with 19 points, while Garrett Mertens added 13 points and five rebounds. Joe Schulte had 12 points and seven rebounds. Justus Osborn logged five points. 

Tiospa Zina’s Tate Never Misses A Shot scored 20 points. Reondre Geulu, Nate Thompson and Ashden Sierra scored eight points apiece. Storm Sierra finished with eight rebounds. 


Freeman 58, Gayville-Volin 41

FREEMAN — Three players scored in double figures to pace Freeman to a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Freeman’s Tate Sorensen finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Rocky Ammann added 12 points and six steals. David Walter had 11 points. Evan Scharberg and Ethan Balvin scored six points apiece. 

Gayville-Volin’s Spencer Karstens posted 21 points and 15 boards. Preston Karstens had 10 points. 


Burke 46, Avon 41

BURKE — Burke clipped Avon for a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Burke’s Reed Benter logged 18 points and Bryce Bartling added eight points. 

Avon’s Landon Thury scored 13 points and Jaden Stahle scored 12 points. Trace Pelton scored 11 points. 


Clark/Willow Lake 84, Arlington 29

ARLINGTON — Tyson Huber and Trey Huber combined for 38 points to pace Clark/Willow Lake to a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Tyson Huber logged 20 points and four steals. Trey Huber added 18 points and hit five 3-pointers. Cole Brenden and Kaplan Felberg scored nine points apiece. Cole Heiman added six points, while Emmerson Larson and Griffin Musser scored five points apiece. 

Arlington’s Riley Miller and Blake Madsen scored six points apiece. Tommy Bacon scored five points. 


Iroquois/Lake Preston 74, Sunshine Bible Academy 46

MILLER — Three players scored in double figures to pace Iroquois/Lake Preston to a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Logan Peskey finished with 25 points, five assists, five steals, five 3-pointers and four rebounds. Josh McMasters added 13 points, while Riley Casper scored 10 points and had six rebounds. 

Sunshine Bible Academy’s Nolan Triebwasser finished with 25 points and seven rebounds. Daniel Gerbracht added 11 points and six rebounds. Jensen Wipf added six points. 


New Underwood 48, Jones County 46

NEW UNDERWOOD — New Underwood edged Jones County for a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Cash Albers finished with 14 points, while Eli Kelley and Linkin Ballard scored 10 points apiece. Burke Beer had seven points. 

Jones County’s Cooper Feddersen logged 26 points and 17 rebounds. Jett Nix recorded nine points and nine rebounds. 


Wessington Springs 53, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 44

FORESTBURG — Parker Graff and Ryder Michalek combined to score 34 points to pace Wessington Springs to a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Graff finished with 21 points and four steals, while Michalek added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Brock Krueger had six rebounds. 

SCW’s Jeff Boschee had 14 points and 11 rebounds. Hayden Beigh had nine pints, while Brady Larson posted eight points. 


Sioux Falls Washington 74, Rapid City Stevens 56

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures to pace Sioux Falls Washington to a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Zaharic Sheppard and Gage Gasca scored 13 points apiece. Cole Peterson posted 12 points, while Lucas Johnson scored nine points. Kaden Schmidt scored seven points. Mandalla Mohamed added six points and Jalen Wilson scored five points. 

Stevens’ Nash Sobczak scored 17 points, while Ethan Pisle and Thomas Martian scored 11 points apiece. Dayler Segrist and Will Dorch scored five points apiece. 


Madison 61, Viborg-Hurley 47

HURLEY — Madison topped Viborg-Hurley for a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Viborg-Hurley’s Kobee Sherman finished with 15 points, while Nick Hanson added 14 points and six rebounds.
