Mitchell 57, Brandon Valley 49

BRANDON — The Mitchell Kernels captured their second straight Eastern South Dakota Conference boys basketball championship on Saturday. It’s the 18th ESD title in program history for the Kernels. 

Dylan Soulek led the Kernels with 25 points. 


Aberdeen Central 49, Watertown 44 

ABERDEEN — Aberdeen Central clipped Watertown for a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Aberdeen Central’s Spencer Barr finished with 27 points, while Jett Carlson added seven points. 

Watertown’s Dylon Rawdon scored 14 points and collected four rebounds. Jake Olson added 11 points and six rebounds. Kohen Kranz netted seven points, while Will Engstrom had six points. Caden Beauchamp added four points and six rebounds. 

Sioux Falls Lincoln 75, Rapid City Stevens 41

SIOUX FALLS — J.T. Rock and Elliot Whitney combined for 45 points to power Sioux Falls Lincoln to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Rock finished with 35 points, seven rebounds, three 3-pointers and three blocked shots. Whitney added 10 points, five assists and four rebounds. Jack Hilgenberg had eight points, four rebounds and four assists. Tate Schafer logged seven points and six rebounds, while Elijah Olson had five points and six rebounds. 

Stevens’ Nash Sobczak had 11 points and eight rebounds. Thomas Martian logged 10 points. Madinko Hawley scored six points and Caden Dowling added five points. 


Sioux Falls Washington 75, Rapid City Central 49

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Sioux Falls Washington earned a win over Rapid City Central in boys basketball action Saturday. 

AJ Akot led Sioux Falls Washington with 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists and three steals. Mandala Mohamed scored 13 points and dished out seven assists. Cole Peterson chipped in with 11 points and four assists. 

Shun-Zi White Woman led Rapid City Central with 18 points and four rebounds. Jon Suarez chipped in with seven points and four assists. 


Brookings 50, Spearfish 43

BROOKINGS — Three players reached double figures as Brookings picked up a boys basketball win over Spearfish on Saturday. 

Austin Clark led Brookings with 14 points and six rebounds. Owen Burns scored 12 points while Nathan Lease pumped in 13 points and grabbed five rebounds for the Bobcats. 

Dylon Doren paced Spearfish with 16 points and six rebounds while Antonio Serrano chipped in with 12 points.
