Avon 54, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 48 (OT)

AVON — Avon edged Andes Central/Dakota Christian in a Region 5B boys basketball game on Monday. 

Avon’s Landon Thury netted 30 points and collected seven rebounds. Noah Watchorn added 10 points and six rebounds. Jaden Stahl posted eight points, while Trace Pelton had four points and 12 rebounds. Trevor Eggers finished with seven rebounds. 

ACDC’s A.J. Johnson recorded 12 points and eight rebounds. Garth Maas had 10 points and six rebounds. Hunter Loeffler posted eight points and nine rebounds. Tyson Cournoyer and Sabas DeHaan had six points apiece. Peter Backes grabbed six boards. 


Gayville-Volin 56, Menno 53

MENNO — A big night for Spencer Karstens propelled Gayville-Volin to a 56-53 win over Menno in Region 4B boys basketball action Monday. 

Karstens led Gayville-Volin with 27 points. Hunter Wuebben added 12 points with Preston Karstens chipping in with nine points.

Maveric Smith led Menno with 17 points. Ajay Herrboldt finished with eight assists and four steals. 


Potter County 60, Sunshine Bible Academy 32

GETTYSBURG — Three players scored in double figures as Potter County picked up a Monday evening boys basketball win over Sunshine Bible Academy in Region 6B action. 

Ryder Falkenhagen’s all-around game of 20 points, two rebounds, three assists and seven steals powered Potter County. Alex Tanner finished with 19 points and six rebounds while Landon Larson added 12 points and two steals. 

Nolan Triebwasser led Sunshine Bible Academy with 13 points while Daniel Gerbracht added nine points. 


Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 54, Arlington 33

ARLINGTON — A big night from Caden Hojer helped Oldham-Ramona/Rutland to a win over Arlington in Region 2B boys basketball action Monday. 

Hojer finished with 25 points, 12 rebounds and four steals to lead Oldham-Ramona/Rutland. Kadyn Gehrels added seven points while Riley Schneider scored six points. 

Blake Madsen led Arlington with 12 points, eight rebounds and an assist. 


Britton-Hecla 44, Wilmot 32

BRITTON — A balanced scoring attack helped Britton-Hecla pick up a win over Wilmot in Region 1B boys basketball action Monday. 

BoDell Davidson led Britton-Hecla with 12 points. Dawson Treeby added nine points while Ashton Mills had seven points. 

Dennis Creadon led Wilmot with eight points while Keitrick Genia chipped in with six points. 


Bon Homme 71, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 59

WOONSOSKET — Three players scored in double figures as Bon Homme earned a win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in Region 5A boys basketball action Monday. 

Riley Rothschadl finished with 24 points, led his team in rebounding and finished with four assists. Ladon Banes also scored 24 points with Chapin Cooper chipping in with 12 points. 

Jeff Boschee led Sanborn Central/Woonsocket with 26 points, ten rebounds and four assists. 


Elkton Lake-Benton 59, Flandreau 54

FLANDREAU — Elkton Lake-Benton edged Flandreau in Region 2A boys basketball action on Monday. 

Tanner Drietz led the Elks with 19 points with Carson Griffith also reaching double figures scoring 15 points. 

Paul Parsley paced Flandreau with 19 points while freshman Luke Sheppard chipped in with 15 points. 


Pierre 84, Sioux Falls Jefferson 73

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures as unranked Pierre earned a win over Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls Jefferson in boys basketball action Monday. 

Jackson Edman powered Pierre with 25 points and six rebounds. Benjamin Heisler scored 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds while Lincoln Kienholz added 19 points and eight rebounds. 

Griffin Wilde led Sioux Falls Jefferson with 25 points and five rebounds. Taylen Ashley scored 20 points while Kaden Year chipped in with 10 points. Ashley also scored his 1,000th career point.
