Herreid/Selby Area 69, Lyman 67 (OT)

PRESHO — Brenden Begeman’s driving layup with 11 seconds left lifted Herreid/Selby Area to a Region 6B boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Begeman finished with 29 points, while Tray Hettick added 19 points. Gavin Hannan logged 11 points and Trevor Gill scored six points. 

Lyman’s Teagan Gourneau scored 21 points, while Ryker Choal added 16 points. Cooper Long logged 15 points and Damian Abrahamson added 12 points.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 75, Bon Homme 47

MOUNT VERNON — Reed Rus broke Mount Vernon/Plankinton’s all-time boys basketball scoring record on Tuesday. 

Rus finished with 22 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists and four steals. He broke the all-time record previously held by Mike Steffen and Rus now has 1,549 career points. 

Jordan Stoltz added 16 points and seven rebounds. Mason Hetland logged 14 points and six rebounds. Zach Baker had 10 points, while Chris Mayer scored eight points.

Ipswich 67, Faulkton Area 52

IPSWICH — Three players scored in double figures as Ipswich picked up a win over Faulkton Area in Region 6B boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Trevor Heinz led the Tigers offense with 17 points. Carter Geditz and Ian Beyers each scored 15 points for Ipswich. 

Layne Cotton led Faulkton Area with 22 points while Roman DiMaria chipped in with 11 points. 


White River 123, Oelrichs 28

WHITE RIVER — Joe Sayler poured in 40 points to pace White River to a Region 7B boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Sayler nailed eight 3-pointers and shot 16 of 21 from the field. Nic Marshall scored 21 points, while Gavin Folkers scored 20 points and hit six 3-pointers. Mackenzie Wike had 12 points and Logan Wright scored eight points. 

Oelrichs’ Stanley Walking scored 15 points and Edwin Fills Pipe had eight points.


Jones County 86, Wall 65

WALL — Three players scored in double figures as Jones County upset Wall in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Kaden Kinsley led the Coyotes with 24 points. Cooper Fedderson posted 23 points and 14 rebounds while Jett Nix added 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists. 

Cedar Amiotte led Wall with 19 points. Brodi Sundall added 11 points while Ben Amundson and Dawson Handcock each scored 10 points for the Eagles. 


Howard 64, Colman-Egan 30

HOWARD — Luke Koepsell and Kolt Koepsell combined for 41 points to pace Howard to a Region 3B boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Luke Koepsell scored 24 points and hit four 3-pointers. Kolt Koepsell added 17 points. Ryder Erickson and Taiden Hoyer scored seven points apiece. 

Colman-Egan’s Jase Mousel scored 12 points, while Jackson Zwart had seven points. Ben Zwart logged five points. 


De Smet 77, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 20

DE SMET — Four players scored in double figures to pace De Smet to a Region 2B boys basketball win on Tuesday.

George Jensen finished with 14 points, while Kasen Janssen had 13 points, five rebounds and four assists. Gannon Gruenhagen had 13 points and four rebounds. Damon Wilkinson added 10 points, four rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocked shots. Trace Van Regenmorter had eight points, while Britt Carlson and Grant Wilkinson scored six points apiece. 

ORR’s Caden Hojer logged eight points and four rebounds. 

Gregory 66, Avon 26

GREGORY — A balanced scoring attack helped Gregory to a win over Avon in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Daniel Mitchell powered the Gregory offense with 14 points while Cruz Klundt added 12 points, five rebounds and five assists. Colt Keiser finished with 11 points while Cole Serr contributed seven rebounds. 

Landon Thury led Avon with nine points. 


Viborg-Hurley 75, Gayville-Volin 46 

HURLEY — Kobee Sherman and Nick Hanson combined to score 49 points to power Viborg-Hurley to a Region 4B boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Sherman finished with 25 points, while Hanson had 24 points and 10 rebounds. Gage Goettertz logged eight points and seven assists. Brady Schroedermeier added seven points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals. 

Gayville-Volin’s Spencer Karstens scored 29 points and grabbed six rebounds. Hunter Wuebben added seven points and seven rebounds. 


Scotland 57, Centerville 54 (OT)

HURLEY — Scotland outlasted Centerville in Region 4B boys basketball action on Tuesday.

Scotland’s Trenten Skorepa and Stephen Johnson scored 15 points apiece. Skorepa added 12 rebounds. Ashton Dennis logged nine points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Parker Hochstein had eight points and four rebounds. Cole Friederich added seven points. 

Centerville’s Logan Bobzin scored 21 points, while Brennan Tople logged 14 points and 13 boards. 


Castlewood 79, Flandreau Indian 46

CASTLEWOOD — Three players scored in double figures to power Castlewood to a Region 2B boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Lane Tvedt finished with 27 points and six 3-pointers. Joe Decker added 22 points and four 3-pointers. Bryon Laue logged 15 points and seven rebounds. Quincy Thu added seven points. 

Flandreau Indian’s Malik Longie scored 19 points and L’Trell Brother of All had 14 points and Payton Palmier scored seven points. 


Tiospaye Topa 75, Timber Lake 71

FAITH — Tiospaye Topa edged Timber Lake in Region 8B boys basketball action on Tuesday.

Tiospaye Topa's Kris Meeter scored 28 points. 

Timber Lake’s Tristan DuPris finished with 26 points, while Elijah Brewer scored 16 points. Kyler Bollinger added 11 points. Gracen Hansen, Cole Ducheneaux and Brady Sandquist scored six points apiece. 


Tiospa Zina 37, Aberdeen Roncalli 34

SUMMIT — A balanced scoring attack helped Tiospa Zina earn a win over Aberdeen Roncalli in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Storm Sierra led the Wambdi with 11 points. Reondre Greely had nine points while Mike Smith added seven points. 

Maddox Miller led Aberdeen Roncalli with 10 points while Aiden Fisher scored eight points. 

Waubay/Summit 56, Sisseton 20

SUMMIT — Three players scored in double figures as Waubay/Summit picked up a win over Sisseton in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Damon Opdahl poured in 19 points to lead Waubay/Summit. Jonathan Johnston added 12 points while Jackson Wohlleber chipped in with 10 points. 

Colter Hanson led Sisseton with six points while Dean Schultz added four points.

Hanson 56, Wagner 44

ALEXANDRIA — A balanced scoring attack helped Hanson pick up a win over Wagner in Region 5A boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Jayce Slaba led Hanson offense with 17 points. Jackson Jarding added 13 points while Ethan Cheeseman had 11 points and five rebounds. 

Carter Cournoyer led Wagner with 14 points while Chris Nelson chipped in with 12 points. 


Dell Rapids St. Mary 66, Canistota 58

DELL RAPIDS — Nic Gaspar logged a double-double to pace Dell Rapids St. Mary to a Region 3B boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Gaspar logged 28 points and 10 rebounds. Maverick LeBrun had 17 points and Trevon Beckman added 15 points. 

Canistota’s Brandon Kjetland scored 21 points and Tage Ortman added 12 points. 


Bridgewater-Emery 60, Chester Area 40

EMERY — Sutton Arend and Ben Weber combined to score 42 points to power Chester Area to a Region 3B boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Arend scored 26 points and Weber added 16 points. 


Deuel 72, Estelline/Hendricks 51

DEUEL — Three players scored in double figures as Deuel earned a win over Estelline/Hendricks in Region 2A boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Trey Maaland led Deuel with 21 points. Gavin Bench finished with 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals while Braydon Simon chipped in with 16 points and 11 rebounds. 

Braxton Saathoff led Estelline/Hendricks with 15 points and four rebounds. Joseph McAninch, Wyat James and Braxton Pravecek each scored eight points. 


Milbank 56, Redfield 28

GROTON — Yohana Ajwanga and Justus Osborn combined for 29 points as Milbank earned a win over Redfield in Region 1B boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Ajwanga powered Milbank with 18 points, six rebounds and two steals. Osborn scored 11 points while Joe Schulte chipped in with seven points. 

Justin Ratigan and Jerron Haider each scored six points to pace Redfield. 


Northwestern 78, Langford Area 38

MELLETTE — Three players scored in double figures as Northwestern cruised to a 78-38 boys basketball win over Langford Area on Tuesday. 

Quintin Fischbach powered the Wildcats with 23 points, four assists and three steals. Chase Neiber finished with 16 points and nine rebounds while Lincoln Woodring chipped in with 16 points. 

Kassen Keough led Langford Area with 12 points. Rennan Bruns added nine points while Jesse Keough added eight points. 


Highmore-Harrold 58, Sully Buttes 53

HIGHMORE — Highmore-Harrold outlasted Sully Buttes in Region 6B boys basketball action on Tuesday.

Mason Knox recorded 23 points for the Pirates. 

Landon Hepker led Sully Buttes with 19 points and Marshall Wittler added 15 points. 


Madison 69, Baltic 46

MADISON — Three players scored in double figures as Madison earned a 69-46 win over Baltic in Region 3A boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Aiden Jensen led the Madison attack with 20 points and eight rebounds. Andrew Comes hit five 3-pointers on his way to 17 points while Ben Brooks added 12 points and eight assists. 

Jack Erickson led Baltic with 17 points and six rebounds. Mark Ditter scored 12 points and Tayden Hansen chipped in with 10 for Baltic. 


Dakota Valley 85, Parker 21

NORTH SIOUX CITY  — Three players scored in double figures as Class A No. 1 Dakota Valley ran past Parker in Region 4A boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Isaac Bruns stuffed the stat sheet with 25 points and 15 rebounds. Jaxson Wingert added 19 points and 11 rebounds while Randy Rosenquist chipped in with 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists and five steals. 

Ray Travnicek led Parker with 12 points. Seth VanVleit and Myles Meyer each scored six points for Parker. 


Winner 78, Bennett County 23

WINNER - Four players scored in double figures as Class A No. 4 Winner picked up a win over Bennett County in Region 7A boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Blake Volmer powered Winner with 20 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and three steals. Norman Chasing Hawk IV scored 16 points for Winner while Ethan Bartels (15) and Aiden Barfuss (10) helped the Warrior effort. 

Kaden Cottier led Bennett County with six points. Christian Pole Bear and Devon Featherman each had five points for the Warriors. 


Parkston 49, Kimball/White Lake 40

PARKSTON — James Deckert and Kaleb Weber combined for 33 points as Parkston picked up a win over Kimball/White Lake in Region 5A boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Deckert led Parkston with 17 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Weber scored 16 points, grabbed five rebounds and had five steals. 

Leiferman led Kimball/White Lake with 15 points. Dawson Miller and Jaxon Pursell each scored 10 points for Kimball/White Lake. 


West Central 76, McCook Central/Montrose 47

HARTFORD — Three players scored in double figures as West Central picked up a win over McCook Central/Montrose in Region 3A boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Erik Seten led West Central with 21 points, four rebounds and four steals. Dylan Stromer added 12 points and nine rebounds while Brodie Herr chipped in with 11 points. Crew Heier and Owen Heath each had eight points for the Trojans. 

Boston Katzer scored 19 points for MCM. Owen Alley added 10 points while Ty Morrison chipped in with eight points.
