Mitchell 57, Sturgis 31

MITCHELL — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class AA No. 3 Mitchell to a boys basketball win over Sturgis on Friday. 

Steele Morgan finished with a game-high 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Aiden Myers and Gavin Soukup scored 10 points apiece. Dylan Soulek added eight points, while Charlie McCardle logged five points and four rebounds. Markus Talley totaled four points and six rebounds. 

Sturgis’ Dysen Peterson posted 13 points, while Gavin Ligtenberg logged nine points on three 3-pointers. Ryan Heinert added eight points and hit two 3-pointers. 

Watertown 57, Sioux Falls Washington 54

WATERTOWN — Dylon Rawdon banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Watertown to a boys basketball win over Sioux Falls Washington on Friday.

Rawdon scored 23 points and nailed three 3-pointers. Jake Olson added 11 points and three 3-pointers. Kohen Kranz recorded nine points, five assists and three 3-pointers. Will Engstrom scored five points. Caden Beauchamp added four points, four rebounds and six assists. 

Washington’s A.J. Akot recorded 16 points and six assists. Mandalla Mohamed and Gage Gasca scored 12 points apiece. Mohamed added four assists, while Gasca had six rebounds. Zharic Sheppard added eight points, five rebounds and five assists. Daniel Sanchez recorded six points. 

 

Bridgewater-Emery 59, Gayville-Volin 27 

GAYVILLE — Sutton Arend and Aguer VanSickle combined to score 41 points to power Gayville-Volin to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Arend poured in a game-high 30 points, while VanSickle scored 11 points. 


Viborg-Hurley 69, Freeman Academy/Marion 42

VIBORG — Nick Hanson and Brady Schroedermeier combined to score 41 points to pace Viborg-Hurley to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Hanson recorded 30 points and 19 rebounds. Schroedermeier added 11 points. Bryson Morrison logged eight rebounds, five points and four assists. Gage Goettertz grabbed six rebounds. 

Freeman Academy/Marion’s Matthew Hagen scored 20 points and Connor Epp added 12 points. 


Gregory 46, Parkston 43

GREGORY — Gregory outlasted Parkston for a boys basketball victory on Friday. 

Gregory’s Cruz Klundt posted 16 points, while Noah Bearshield added 12 points. Jackson Bolander scored nine points. Daniel Mitchell collected 10 rebounds. 

Parkston’s Kaleb Weber and Will Jodozi scored 12 points apiece. Luke Bormann and James Deckert added six points apiece. 


Sully Buttes 81, Potter County 71

ONIDA — Sully Buttes held off Potter County for a boys basketball victory on Friday

Wesley Wittler led the Chargers with 26 points. 

Potter County’s Ryder Falkenhagen scored 24 points. 


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 59, Marty 51

TRIPP — Isaac Wunder and Mason Reiner combined to score 35 points as Tripp-Delmont/Armour picked up a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Wunder recorded 22 points and five rebounds. Reiner added 13 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists. Riley Spaans added 12 points and nine rebounds. Jaden Groeneweg logged nine rebounds, six assists and five assists. 

Marty’s Greg Zephier scored 21 points. Benicio Zephier added 15 points.


Deubrook Area 79, Arlington 44 

ARLINGTON — Gavin Landmark and Jacob Jorenby combined to score 29 points to pace Deubrook Area to a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Landmark recorded 16 points, while Jorenby scored 13 points and collected four steals. Gunner Trooien and Connor Andrews scored eight points apiece. Landen Johnson scored seven points and collected five rebounds. 

Arlington’s Tommy Bacon posted nine points. Blake Madsen had six points and eight rebounds, while Riley Miller added six points. 


Waubay-Summit 78, Northwestern 55

SUMMIT — Three players scored in double figures to pace Waubay-Summit to a boys basketball win on Friday. Waubay-Summit logged 17 3-pointers in the win.

Jonathan Johnston recorded 30 points, eight 3-pointers and six rebounds. Damon Opdahl added 25 points, nine assists, eight rebounds, six steals and six 3-pointers. Jackson Wohlleber recorded 11 points, while Brady Lindholm posted six points. 


McCook Central/Montrose 51, Garretson 46

MONTROSE — Owen Alley and Ty Morrison combined to score 36 points to pace McCook Central/Montrose to a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Alley recorded 20 points and eight rebounds. Morrison added 16 points, seven rebounds and five 3-pointers. Mason Sabers finished with seven points and five rebounds. Jackson Schmidt posted 13 rebounds and three points. Lane Deutsch scored five points and grabbed four rebounds. 

Garretson’s Sam Schleuter had 19 points, five rebounds and three 3-pointers. Ramsey Schweitzer added eight points and nine rebounds. Ian Buettner added six points and 13 rebounds. Blaine Trower had six points and six rebounds. Brecken Weir scored six points. 


Corsica-Stickney 54, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 39

CORSICA — Shad Bosma and Lucas Krogstad combined to score 30 points to pace Corsica-Stickney to a boys basketball win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Friday. 

Bosma recorded 19 points, four rebounds and four assists. Krogstad added 11 points and eight rebounds. Carter Wright posted eight points. Ty Hosman scored seven points, while Austin Krogstad added six points and five rebounds. 


Irene-Wakonda 56, Menno 26

MENNO — Irene-Wakonda pulled away from Menno for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Miles Pollman led the Eagles with 10 points, five points and four rebounds. Dashel Spurrell recorded 11 points and five steals. Jake Kuhl added eight points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Jens Hansen had seven points. Sam Hansen scored eight points. 

Menno’s Kadeyn Ulmer finished with six points and five rebounds. Blake Rames added six points and four rebounds. Ajay Herrboldt finished with five points and six rebounds. 


Ipswich 64, North Central 47

BOWDLE — Three players scored in double figures to lift Ipswich to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Trevor Heinz finished with 16 points, while Ian Beyers added 15 points. Tyler Hettich scored 14 points and Chet Peterson had eight points. 

North Central’s Cooper Oxner scored 12 points on four 3-pointers. Dawson Walz finished with 10 points, while Cole Bukaske scored nine points. Bastien Delalande had eight points. 


Milbank 42, Aberdeen Roncalli 34 

MILBANK — Milbank held off Aberdeen Roncalli for a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Milbank’s Garrett Mertens finished with 20 points, five 3-pointers and three rebounds. Joe Schulte added seven points, while Jaxson Wildung had six points and six rebounds. 

Aberdeen Roncalli’s Maddox Miller logged 12 points, while Jayden Monroe recorded eight points and six rebounds. Aiden Fisher had six points. 

 

Huron 63, Spearfish 58

HURON — Huron outlasted Spearfish for a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Huron’s Reilyn Zavesky posted 26 points, six rebounds and three assists. Dylan Lichty added 11 points, while Mason Davis scored nine points on three 3-pointers. 

Spearfish’s Dylan Doren finished with 15 points, six rebounds and three 3-pointers. Smith Funke added 12 points on four 3-pointers. Seth Hamilton scored 11 points. Serrano Wood and Carter Lyon scored eight and seven points, respectively.
