Dakota Valley 59, Vermillion 54

VERMILLION — Class A No. 1 Dakota Valley outlasted Vermillion to improve to 15-0 in boys basketball action on Tuesday. 

Dakota Valley’s Isaac Bruns tossed in 27 points and scored his 2,000th career point. Randy Rosenquist Jr., added 16 points. 

Vermillion’s Zoan Robinson scored 19 points and Trey Hansen added 13 points. Carter Hansen scored 12 points. 


Winner 76, St. Francis 38 

WINNER — Blake Volmer logged a double-double to lift Class A No. 4 Winner to a boys basketball win over St. Francis on Tuesday. 

Volmer recorded 31 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Shawn Hammerbeck added 11 points and seven rebounds. Ryder Halligan and Aiden Barfuss scored seven points apiece. Norman Chasing Hawk IV scored six points and Ethan Bartels scored five points. 

St. Francis’ Darin Arcoren Jr., scored 12 points. Hochokan Two Eagle and Cante Kills In Water scored six points apiece. John Gunhammer added five points. 


White River 73, Little Wound 31

WHITE RIVER — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 2 White River to a boys basketball win over Little Wound on Tuesday.

Joe Sayler poured in 31 points, hit six 3-pointers and grabbed six rebounds. Nic Marshall added 16 points and four assists, while Gavin Folkers finished with 12 points on four 3-pointers. Logan Wright added eight points and 10 rebounds. 

Little Wound’s Tristen Kills Small scored 12 points, while Earl Richards added eight points. Tatanka Catches Enemy scored five points 


De Smet 64, Flandreau 30 

FLANDREAU — Class B No. 3 De Smet rolled past Flandreau for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Damon Wilkinson scored 17 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, while Kadyn Fast finished with 13 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals. Kasen Janssen logged 12 points. George Jensen and Gannon Gruenhagen scored six and five points, respectively. 

Flandreau’s Paul Parsley scored 11 points and Alfie Henderson scored six points. 


Aberdeen Christian 65, Ipswich 45

ABERDEEN — Four players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 1 Aberdeen Christian to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Malek Wieker finished with 20 points and six rebounds. Ethan Russell added 14 points and seven rebounds. Jackson Isakson logged 11 points, while Kaden Clark finished with 10 points. 

Ipswich’s Trevor Heinz scored 16 points. Chet Peterson posted eight points and five rebounds. 


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 65, Wagner 61 (OT)

TRIPP — Four players scored in double figures to pace Tripp-Delmont/Armour to an overtime boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Mason Reiner finished with 21 points, four rebounds, three steals and three assists. Riley Spaans added 19 points and 11 rebounds. Colby Brown recorded 12 points and three assists. Jaden Groeneweg logged 10 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Jeff Schnabel had five rebounds. 

Wagner’s Parker Petry had 14 points, while Ted Slaba had 13 points. Matt Link added eight points. 


Castlewood 67, Florence-Henry 31

HENRY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Castlewood to a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Jamison Keszler finished with 18 points, while Bryon Laue added 15 points. Lane Tvedt scored 11 points. Jackson Schofield added six points. Joe Decker and Quincy Thu scored five points apiece 

Florence-Henry’s Peyton Roe recorded 11 points. Ty Bergh had seven points, while Logan Vavruska added five points. 


Hanson 73, Freeman 46

FREEMAN — Four players scored in double figures to pace Hanson to a boys basketball win over Freeman on Tuesday.

Ethan Cheeseman poured in 25 points, while Jackson Jarding added 13 points. A.J. Wilber scored 12 points and Jayce Slaba added 11 points. 

Freeman’s Luke Peters posted 14 points. Rocky Ammann added 11 points, while Tate Sorensen had eight points and seven rebounds. 


Waubay-Summit 59, Estelline-Hendricks 48 

SUMMIT — Damon Opdahl and Jackson Wohlleber combined to score 44 points to pace Waubay-Summit to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Opdahl recorded 25 points, six rebounds and four assists. Wohlleber finished with 19 points and nine rebounds. Jonathan Johnston had eight points and seven rebounds. Jared Purdy scored seven points. 


Deubrook Area 69, Great Plains Lutheran 63

WHITE — Deubrook Area outlasted Great Plains Lutheran for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Deubrook Area’s Jake Jorenby scored 23 points, while Colin Bauman added 10 points. Gunner Trooien had five points. 

GPL’s Alex Heil logged 19 points. Myles York scored 13 points and Austin Rubendall posted 12 points. Brady Scharlemann scored 10 points. Micah Holien posted seven points. 

 

Dell Rapids 62, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 60 

DELL RAPIDS --- Dell Rapids outlasted Mount Vernon/Plankinton for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.
MVP's Reed Rus finished with 28 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists and seven steals. 

Madison 62, McCook Central/Montrose 40

MADISON — Aiden Jensen’s big night helped Madison to a win over McCook Central/Montrose in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Jensen finished with 26 points, 11 rebounds and two steals to lead Madison. Andrew Comes added nine points while Thomas Mechels had six points. 

Owen Alley paced McCook Central/Montrose with 12 points and five rebounds. Ty Morrison and Jackson Schmidt each recorded 10 points for MCM. 


Chester Area 75, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 35

CHESTER — Jovi Wolf and Layke Wold combined for 35 points as Chester Area picked up a win over Oldham-Ramona/Rutland in boys basketball Tuesday.

Wolf led Chester Area with 25 points. Wold had 20 points and three assists for the Flyers.

Caden Hojer led Oldham-Ramona/Rutland with 15 points and 10 rebounds. 


Sully Buttes 49, Herreid/Selby Area 44

ONIDA — Sully Buttes edged Herreid/Selby Area for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Sully Buttes’ Landon Hepker finished with 17 points. 

Herreid/Selby Area’s Tray Hettick scored 13 points. 


Warner 47, Redfield 40 

REDFIELD — Hunter Cramer and Brodey Sauerwein combined to score 35 points to pace Warner to a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Carmer finished with 18 points, while Sauerwein added 17 points and hit five 3-pointers. Levi Scepaniak had six points and 13 rebounds. Zach Evans scored six points. 

Redfield’s Mitchell Mack scored 16 points. Jerron Haider added nine points, while Justin Ratigan and Elijah Morrissette scored six points apiece. Ratigan added 13 rebounds. 


Milbank 68, Sisseton 36

MILBANK — Joe Schulte and Justus Osborn combined to score 37 points to pace Milbank to a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Schulte netted 22 points and collected seven rebounds. Osborn added 12 points, five assists and five rebounds. Graham Lightfield had nine points, while Jaxson Wildung added seven points. Braylen Bowsher scored six points and Yohana Ajwanga scored five points and grabbed six rebounds. 

Sisseton’s Colter Hanson finished with nine points and five rebounds. Ethan DeSpiegler added nine points and three rebounds. Carter Stickland and Dean Shultz had seven points apiece. Shultz added five boards. 


Beresford 71, Garretson 41

BERESFORD — Four players scored in double figures to pace Beresford to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Beresford’s Aiden Hamm recorded 23 points, while Jake Goblirsch scored 14 points. Tate VanOtterloo finished with 13 points and Andrew Atwood scored 10 points. 

Garretson’s Sam Schleuter scored 15 points. Blaine Trower scored six points and Dylan Jessen added five points. 


Pierre 68, Huron 59 

PIERRE — Four players scored in double figures to pace Pierre to a boys basketball win over Huron on Tuesday.

Jackson Edman tossed in 21 points, while Lincoln Kienholz added 14 points. Benjamin Heisler logged 12 points and Jacob Mayer scored 11 points. Brecken Krueger scored five points. 

Huron’s Dylan Lichty netted 14 points, while Mason Davis scored 12 points. Reilyn Zavesky added nine points and Dawsyn Rogers scored eight points. Anderson Porisch had seven points. 


Sioux Falls Lincoln 77, Sioux Falls O’Gorman 59

SIOUX FALLS — J.T. Rock and Elliot Whitney combined to score 47 points to pace Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Lincoln to a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Rock finished with 25 points, eight rebounds and six blocked shots. Whitney added 22 points, four assists and three 3-pointers. Tate Schafer netted 14 points. Jack Hilgenberg recorded eight points and five rebounds.

Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Matthew Eng logged 21 points and six rebounds. Zander Benz recorded 12 points and five rebounds. Radley Mauney had 10 points and five rebounds. Henry Theobald and Sullivan Schlimgen scored five points apiece. 


Sioux Falls Washington 52, Brandon Valley 38 

SIOUX FALLS — Four players scored in double figures to pace Sioux Falls Washington to a win over Class AA No. 4 Brandon Valley on Tuesday. 

Washington’s Zaharic Sheppard recorded 13 points, four 3-pointers and four rebounds. Cole Peterson posted 11 points. A.J. Akot and Gage Gasca scored 10 points apiece. Gasca added 12 rebounds. Mandalla Mohamed finished with six points and six rebounds. 

Brandon Valley’s Lukas Morgan finished with eight points, while Josh Olthoff added seven points. Nate VandeBerg had six points and six rebounds, while Cole Dekker added five points. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 59, Watertown 44

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures as Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls Jefferson picked up a win over Watertown in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Kaden Year led Jefferson with 16 points and nine rebounds. Taylen Ashley had 15 points and four assists while Griffin Wilde had 13 points and five rebounds.

Kohen Kranz led Watertown with 14 points while Jake Olson added 13 points.
