De Smet 52, Wolsey-Wessington 49 

WOLSEY — Class B No. 3 De Smet outlasted Wolsey-Wessington for a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Kasen Janssen recorded 13 points, while George Jensen added 10 points. Damon Wilkinson finished with nine points and Tom Aughenbaugh added five points. 

Wolsey-Wessington’s Ricky Maurovic 15 points, while Tate French finished with 14 points. Moshe Richmond scored nine points and Blaize Herdman added six points. 


Bridgewater-Emery 65, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 49

FORESTBURG — Sutton Arend scored 22 points and his 1,000th career point in Bridgewater-Emery’s boys basketball win on Thursday.

Auger VanSickle added nine points. 

Jeff Boschee finished with 12 points and four assists. Brady Larson added 12 points and seven rebounds. Hayden Beigh grabbed seven rebounds. 


Howard 60, Dell Rapids St. Mary 57 

DELL RAPIDS — Howard edged Dell Rapids St. Mary for a boys basketball victory on Thursday.

Howard’s Kolt Koepsell recorded 16 points, while Luke Koepsell added 12 points. 

Dell Rapids St. Mary’s Nic Gaspar scored 21 points and Trevon Beckman added 17 points.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 63, Ethan 62 

MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon/Plankinton clipped Ethan for a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

MVP’s Jordan Stoltz, Reed Rus, Zach Baker and Mason Hetland finished with 14 points apiece. Stoltz added 11 rebounds, four blocked shots and four assists. Hetland added 10 rebounds and five assists. Rus recorded six rebounds and four assists. 

Ethan’s Riley Endres poured in a game-high 22 points. Drake Gustafson added 11 points, while Taite Klumb had 10 points. Kody Klumb scored eight points and Logan Koch had six points. 


White River 75, Stanley County 46 

FORT PIERRE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 1 White River to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

White River’s Nic Marshall scored a game-high 23 points, while Joe Sayler added 22 points. Gavin Folkers finished with 16 points and hit four 3-pointers. Logan Wright scored eight points. 

Stanley County’s Kaden Montana scored 20 points. Paxton Deal scored 14 points and Weston Prince added seven points. 


Tea Area 59, Dell Rapids 58 

TEA — Garrett Wiebenga hit a game-winning 3-pointer with two seconds left to lift Tea Area to a boys basketball win over Dell Rapids on Thursday. 

Sam Almas scored 15 points to pace the balanced Titans. Jonah Kocer, Blake Thompson and Reis Kirschenman each scored 11 points apiece. Kirschenman added eight rebounds and Thompson had five boards. Wiebenga scored six points. 

Dell Rapids’ Jack Henry tossed in a game-high 30 points and collected five rebounds. Brayden Pankonen added 13 points, while Rhett Kloth recorded seven points and eight rebounds. Taj Tjaden had five rebounds. 


Freeman Academy/Marion 74, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 45

NEW HOLLAND — Four players scored in double figures to pace Freeman Academy/Marion to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

FAM’s Connor Epp scored 19 points and dished out five assists. Simon Eremin scored 15 points, while Matthew Hagen had 12 points, eight rebounds and five steals. Jess Bashige scored 10 points. 

Andes Central/Dakota Christian’s A.J. Johnson scored 13 points. Hunter Loeffler recorded 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Garth Maas added six rebounds. 


Sioux Valley 68, West Central 30

VOLGA — Four players reached double figures as Class A No. 2 Sioux Valley rolled to a win over West Central in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Patrick Carey led the Sioux Valley attack with 17 points. Oliver Vincent had 14 points, four assists and three steals. Alec Squires added 12 points and 14 rebounds while Hudsyn Ruesink added 12 points. 

Crew Heier led West Central with seven points and six rebounds. 


Hamlin 64, Deuel 50

CLEAR LAKE — Tyson Stevenson and Easton Neuendorf combined to score 41 points to pace Hamlin to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Stevenson tallied 21 points and hit four 3-pointers. Neuendorf added 20 points, while Brennan Keszler recorded seven points. Jackson Wadsworth scored six points. 

Deuel’s Trey Maaland finished with 14 points and hit three 3-pointers. Ricky Berndt scored eight points and Brayton Simon scored seven points. Ronnie Begalka and Dravyn Carlson scored six points apiece. 


Canistota 64, Gayville-Volin 47

CANISTOTA — Tage Ortman tossed in 28 points to pace Canistota to a boys basketball win over Gayville-Volin on Thursday.

Ortman added five rebounds, five assists and three 3-pointers. Brady Scott added 14 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Brandon Kjetland recorded 12 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots. Noah Kleinsasser added four points, four rebounds and four assists. 

GV’s Spencer Karstens finished with 23 points and five 3-pointers. Preston Karstens logged 12 points. Will Fairley and Nate Seichert recorded five points apiece. 


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 50, Avon 30 

ARMOUR — Jaden Groeneweg and Mason Reiner combined to score 34 points to pace Tripp-Delmont/Armour to a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Groeneweg finished with 24 points and five rebounds. Reiner added 10 points. Riley Spaans logged seven points and nine rebounds. Colby Brown finished with four points, four rebounds and six assists. 

Avon’s Jaden Stahl finished with eight points, while Trace Pelton posted seven points. Landon Thury tallied six points and nine rebounds. 


Parkston 66, Chamberlain 32

PARKSTON — Four players scored in double figures as Parkston rolled to a win over Chamberlain in boys basketball action Thursday. 

James Deckert powered the Trojans with 16 points and seven rebounds. Will Jodozi had 13 points and a team leading 11 rebounds. Kaleb Weber finished with 15 points while Luke Bormann added 10 points. 

Kenyon McCloskey paced Chamberlain with 14 points and 13 rebounds. 


Clark/Willow Lake 65, Britton-Hecla 36

BRITTON — Kaplan Felberg and Trey Huber combined for 43 points as Clark/Willow Lake picked up a win over Britton-Hecla in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Felberg led all scorers with 25 points while Huber pumped in 18. 

Dawson Treeby led Britton-Hecla with 11 points. 


Castlewood 69, Deubrook Area 51

DEUBROOK — Byron Laue and Lane Tvedt combined for 39 points as Castlewood picked up a win over Deubrook Area in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Laue led all scorers with 22 points while Tvedt added 17 points. Joe Decker chipped in nine points for Castlewood. 

Landen Johnson and Jacob Jorenby each scored 15 points to pace Deubrook Area. 


Centerville 53, Menno 45

MENNO — Three players scored in double figures to pace Centerville to a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Centerville’s Logan Bobzin finished with 17 points, four rebounds and three assists. Alec Austin added 14 points. Aiden Bobzin scored 11 points and had four rebounds. Luke Knight added nine rebounds.

Menno’s Ajay Herrboldt had 13 points and five assists. Blake Rames recorded 12 points and nine rebounds. Kadeyn Ulmer finished with 10 points and five rebounds. Hayden McNinch had five rebounds. 


Mobridge-Pollock 50, Sully Buttes 39 

MOBRIDGE — Michael Wald and Shane Henderson combined to score 29 points to pace Mobridge-Pollock to a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Wald recorded 18 points, five steals and four rebounds, while Henderson added 11 points and 10 rebounds. Kobe Goodshield added eight points and eight rebounds. Jackson Eisemann finished with five points.

Sully Buttes’ Wesley Wittler tossed in 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds, while Landon Hepker posted 12 points and 13 rebounds. Tyler Marshall scored eight points. 


Corsica-Stickney 54, Freeman 42

CORSICA — Sacha Bemurat and Tyson Wentland combined to score 27 points to pace Corsica-Stickney to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Bemurat recorded 14 points, while Wentland added 13 points and eight rebounds. Lucas Krogstad finished with nine points and eight rebounds. Shad Bosma had eight points and seven rebounds. Tye Hosman finished with six points. Carter Wright logged four points, five rebounds and six assists.


Scotland 60, Bon Homme 53

SCOTLAND — Three players scored in double figures to pace Scotland to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Scotland’s Stephen Johnson finished with 22 points, while Ashton Dennis logged 12 points. Kory Keppen scored 10 points. 

Bon Homme’s Riley Rothschadl scored a game-high 33 points. Chapin Cooper and Landon Bares scored eight and six points, respectively.

Chester Area 58, Flandreau 45

FLANDREAU — Layke Wold and Jovi Wolf combined for 38 points to pace Chester Area to a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Wold recorded 20 points, while Wolf added 18 points. 

Flandreau’s Paul Parsley scored 15 points and Alfie Henderson added 12 points. 


Milbank 97, Ortonville, Minn., 43

ORTONVILLE, Minn. — Five players scored in double figures to pace Milbank to a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Milbank’s Garrett Mertens finished with 25 points, five rebounds and four assists. Joe Schulte added 18 points, 11 rebounds and five steals. Yohana Ajwanga logged 17 points and eight rebounds. Jaxson Wildung had 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Aiden Ludvigson had five points and six rebounds. 


Groton Area 57, Redfield 46

REDFIELD — Three players scored in double figures as Groton Area picked up a road win over Redfield in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Ryder Johnson led Groton Area with 16 points. Tate Larson finished with 13 points and nine rebounds. Lane Tietz added 11 points for the Tigers. 

Nolan Gall and Mitchell Mack each scored 14 points for Redfield. 


Faulkton Area 63, Potter County 41

GETTYSBURG — Layne Cotton and Roman DiMaria combined for 40 points as Faulkton Area defeated Potter County in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Cotton erupted for 28 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and a steal to lead Faulkton Area. DiMaria had 12 points and eight rebounds while Spencer Melius tallied six points. 

Alex Tanner led Potter County with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Ryder Falkenhagen added 16 points for the Battlers.
