New Underwood 62, Jones County 33

NEW UNDERWOOD — Three players scored in double figures to pace New Underwood to a boys basketball win on Friday. The Tigers tallied 10 3-pointers in the win. 

New Underwood’s Zeke Enos finished with 20 points and hit five 3-pointers. Ethan Enos added 15 points and hit three 3-pointers. Sam Enos scored 11 points. Trevin Walker scored six points and Kaleb Myers had five points.

For Jones County, Jace Nix scored 13 points and Bryer Kinsley added 12 points. 


Stanley County 65, Mobridge-Pollock 60

FORT PIERRE — Stanley County held off Mobridge-Pollock for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Stanley County’s Eddie Duffy finished with 21 points and Paxton Deal added 19 points. Kaden Montana scored 14 points and Ethan Leafgreen had six points.

For Mobridge-Pollock, Jackson Eisemann recorded 21 points and Shane Henderson added 17 points. Kale Knudson scored 13 points.


Sunshine Bible Academy 71, Iroquois-Lake Preston 67 (OT)

MILLER — Four players scored in double figures as Sunshine Bible Academy edged Iroquois-Lake Preston in an overtime thriller Friday.

Trey Thieman tallied 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals, Jensen Wipf had 12 points, four rebounds and two steals, Isaac Hague collected 12 points, Jacob Hadden brought in 11 points, six rebounds and two steals, while Owan Watson and Tarrence Mickelson each had seven points in the win.

ILP’s Ervin Carter dropped a game-high 25 points and 14 rebounds in the loss, Lucas Peskey recorded 19 points and nine steals, Daunte Glanzer recorded 15 points, seven rebounds and two steals, while Carter Arbeiter had four points and four rebounds in the loss.


Miller 61, Highmore-Harrold 42

MILLER — Isaak Hunter erupted for 37 points as Miller downed Highmore-Harrold in boys basketball action Friday.

Hunter finished with 37 points, WIll Resel added 13 points while Oliver Fritzsche tallied eight points for the Rustlers.

HH’s Brooks McPeak had a team-high 14 points, Caleb Roth added 12 points, while Jordan Erfman netted nine points in the loss.


Dell Rapids St. Mary 69, Bridgewater-Emery 47

BRIDGEWATER — Maverick LeBrun, Trevon Beckman and Trimmier Hanson combined for 55 points as Class B No. 3 Dell Rapids St. Mary picked up the victory over Bridgewater-Emery Friday.

LeBrun totaled 20 points for the Cardinals, Beckman added 18 while Hanson collected 17 points in the win.

BE’s Ben Weber netted 20 points and dished out five assists in the loss. Holden Wollmann recorded 12 points and Jason Zeeb grabbed seven rebounds. 


Milbank 58, Tiospa Zina 49

MILBANK — Milbank hung to beat Tiospa Zina in high school boys basketball action Friday.

Graham Lightfield led the Bulldogs with 16 points and five rebounds, Sam Rick added 10 points and eight rebounds, Emmett Hanson recorded nine points, 13 rebounds and two blocks, while Esteban Abrego collected eight points and five rebounds in the win.

TZ’s Ashden Sierra had 19 points, nine rebounds and five steals, Blake Dumarce had 12 points and three steals, while Issac Rodlund totaled 10 points in the loss.


Wessington Springs 71, Sanborn Central-Woonsocket 64

FORESTBURG — Class B No. 4 Wessington Springs survives on the road against Sanborn Central-Woonsocket Friday.

Wessington Springs' Karter Mebius finished with 19 points, while Colby Flowers had 17 points. Ryder Michalek added 16 points. 

SCW’s Landon Jensen had 20 points, Grant Edwards added 14 points, McCoy Schulz netted 11 points and eight rebounds while Payton Uecker tallied eight points in the loss.


Corsica-Stickney 53, Chamberlain 42

CORSICA — Tyson Wentland’s 25-point double-double powered Corsica-Stickney past Chamberlain in boys basketball action Friday.

Wentland netted 25 points, 17 rebounds  and five steals while Jarret Olawsky had eight points for the Jaguars.

Chamberlain’s Blaze Knippling tallied 11 points and seven rebounds, Riddik Big Eagle had eight points and five rebounds, Josiah Vaad had nine points while Kansas Honomichl-Rouse totaled eight points in the loss.


Burke 58, Avon 39

BURKE — Quinten Bull and Brody Indahl netted a combined 35 points in Burke’s win over Avon Friday.

Bull led the Cougars with 18 points and eight rebounds while Indahl tallied 17 points, three rebounds and four assists. Jayder Schonebaum had nine points in the win as well.

Avon’s Aziah Meyer scored 11 points, Al’Shamon Gunter tallied 10 points while Grayson Ratzlaf finished with seven points for the Pirates.


Howard 52, Canistota 29

HOWARD — Carson Hinker and Luke Koepsell powered Howard to a Friday high school boys basketball win.

Hinker and Koepsell scored 20 points apiece. Lucas Feldhaus added seven points.

Canistota’s Brady Scott scored a game-high 21 points and Jayden Kleinsasser had six points. 


Leola-Frederick Area 57, Ipswich 31

LEOLA — Class B No. 5 Leola-Frederick Area defeated Ipswich to win the Lake Region Conference Championship Friday.

Noah Kippley tallied 14 points, Winston Clark had 10 points. Ethan Petrich and Gavin Nickelson added eight points apiece in the win. Zander Hoffman had five points. 

Ipswich’s Tucker Kadlec scored nine points and Jaxon Holt had eight points. Kyle Hettich had five points. 


Freeman 73, Kimball-White Lake 24

FREEMAN — David Walter totaled 19 points as Freeman took down Kimball-White Lake Friday.

Walter finished with 19 points and six rebounds, Tate Sorensen tallied 12 points and seven boards, Luke Peters cracked 10 points, four assists and three rebounds, Tayden Kerrigan added seven points and six rebounds, while Luke Miller had six points for the Flyers.

KWL’s Cooper Leiferman netted nine points while Keaton Christensen collected eight points for the WiLdKats


Winner 69, Freeman Academy/Marion 34

WINNER — Three players scored in double figures to power Winner to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Winner’s Shawn Hammerbeck recorded 19 points and five rebounds. Carter Craven added 18 points, 14 rebounds, three steals and three blocked shots. Aiden Schroeder recorded 11 points, five rebounds and four assists. Ryder Halligan had nine points and three assists.

For FAM, Elshadi Mesfin finished with 13 points and Karter Weber added 12 points. Hunter Nankivel scored five points. 

 

Rapid City Christian 63, Hot Springs 41

RAPID CITY — Class A No. 3 Rapid City Christian defeated Hot Springs in Friday high school boys basketball action.

Rapid City Christian’s Benson Kieffer finished with 17 points and Aiden Roberts added 10 points. Peyton Glenn recorded eight points and Judah Hoyt had six points.

For Hot Springs, Jaydon Koffler scored 22 points.


Clark/Willow Lake 76, Arlington 33

ARLINGTON — Five players scored in double figures to power Clark/Willow Lake to a boys basketball win on Friday.

CWL’s Chris Bevers finished with 22 points, nine rebounds, eight steals and six assists. Sullivan Felberg added 13 points, six rebounds and four assists. Bo Begeman and William Hovde scored 11 points apiece. Emmerson Larson recorded 10 points and four rebounds. Jakob Steen grabbed nine boards.

For Arlington, Paxton Rheault logged 13 points and 10 rebounds. Miles Antonen posted 13 points, four rebounds and three blocked shots.


Hanson 78, Mitchell Christian 22

ALEXANDRIA — AJ Wilber netted 23 points in Hanson’s win over Mitchell Christian Friday.

Wilber finished with 23 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Ben Wilber had 16 points, seven rebounds and a block, Tye Hernandez collected 12 points and four assists, while Sutton DeWald netted eight points in the win.

MC’s Brady Asbenson tallied eight points in the loss.


Mitchell 68, Sioux Falls O’Gorman 62

MITCHELL — Markus Talley, Colton Smith and Gavin Hinker combined for 55 points as Class AA No. 2 Mitchell defeated Class AA No. 5 Sioux Falls O’Gorman Friday.

Talley led the Kernels with 22 points, six rebounds and three assists, Smith scored 18 points, 17 rebounds and four assists, Hinker added 15 points and five rebounds while Landen Soulek tallied nine points in the win.

OG’s Austin Terveen had a team-high 20 points, Caleb Terveen tallied 10 points, Mason Clark recorded eight points, while Nyun Dut and Jackson Bjorkman each had seven points and five rebounds in the loss.
