Bridgewater-Emery 42, Ethan 38 

EMERY — Bridgewater-Emery outlasted Ethan for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Bridgewater-Emery’s Sutton Arend poured in 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to pace the Huskies. 

Ethan's Wyatt Sinkie scored 11 points, while Riley Endres added 10 points. 


Hanson 46, Parkston 44

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson edged Parkston for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Hanson’s Ethan Cheeseman paced the Beavers with 25 points and 13 boards. Jayce Slaba added eight points and five assists. Sutton Dewald had five steals. 

Parkston’s Luke Bormann scored 17 points. 

 



Pierre 66, Winner 32

PIERRE — Class AA No. 3 Pierre picked up a boys basketball win over Winner on Tuesday. 

Pierre’s Lincoln Kienholz finished with 16 points and six rebounds. Brecken Krueger and Benjamin Heisler scored 11 points apiece, while Krueger collected seven rebounds. Jackson Edman added nine points. Dawson Getz scored five points. 

Winner’s Blake Volmer netted 11 points and grabbed six rebounds. Aiden Barfuss had 10 points, while Shawn Hammerbeck logged eight points and five boards. 


Dakota Valley 55, West Central 50

HARTFORD — Class A No. 1 Dakota Valley earned a come-from-behind win over West Central in a boys basketball game on Tuesday.

DV was led by Isaac Bruns and Jaxson Wingert with 18 points apiece, while Randy Rosenquist added 13 points.

West Central’s Dylan Stromer led with 19 points and six rebounds, while Crew Heier had 13 points, seven rebounds, and six blocked shots.  


Beresford 60, McCook Central/Montrose 42

BERESFORD — Beresford used a balanced scoring attack to pick up a boys basketball win over McCook Central/Montrose on Tuesday.

Beresford’s Tate VanOtterloo recorded 23 points and four rebounds. Andrew Atwood added 13 points and nine rebounds. Aidan Hamm had 11 points and five rebounds, while Jake Goblirsch collected 15 rebounds. 


Mitchell 71, Huron 66

MITCHELL — Four players scored in double figures as Mitchell held off Huron for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Mitchell’s Steele Morgan logged 16 points, while Gavin Soukup and Markus Talley scored 15 points apiece. Soukup hit four 3-pointers and Talley nailed three 3-pointers. Dylan Soulek added 14 points, eight assists and six rebounds. Colton Smith logged nine points and four rebounds. 

Huron’s Reilyn Zavesky finished with 22 points, five rebounds and four assists. Mason Davis recorded 16 points and four 3-pointers. Blake Ellwein scored 17 points and hit three 3-pointers. C.J. Gainey scored seven points. 

 



Kimball/White Lake 66, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 59 (2OT)

WOONSOCKET — Kimball/White Lake outlasted Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in double overtime for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

KWL’s Blake Leiferman poured in a game-high 33 points and 15 rebounds, while Jaxon Pursell had 10 points and 12 rebounds. Porter Miller had seven points and five assists, while Jaxon Christensen added seven points.

SCW’s Hayden Beigh led with 22 points and four steals, while Jeff Boschee had 20 points and nine rebounds. Cody Slykhuis had six points and eight rebounds, while Brady Larson added six points. Bryce Larson had seven assists and four steals.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 84, Wessington Springs 68

PLANKINTON — Three players scored 20 or more points to pace Mount Vernon/Plankinton to a boys basketball win over Wessington Springs. 

Mason Hetland recorded 26 points, while Reed Rus logged 24 points, 11 assists, six rebounds and five steals. Jordan Stoltz logged 21 points, eight rebounds, four blocked shots and four assists. Zach Baker added eight points. 

Wessington Springs’ Ryder Michalek finished with 19 points, six rebounds and four assists. Parker Graff posted 17 points, while Blake Larson had 10 points and six assists. Colby Flowers had nine points and seven rebounds. Brock Krueger added seven points and five rebounds. Jack Neely finished with six points and six rebounds. 


Miller 51, Redfield 46

REDFIELD — Miller held off Redfield for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Isaak Hunter finished 13 points, while Alex Schumacher scored 11 points. Dylan Hass scored nine points, while Trevor Werdel and Derek Bruggeman scored seven points apiece. 

Redfield’s Jerron Haider and Nolan Gall scored 16 and 15 points, respectively. Justin Ratigan scored nine points. 


De Smet 67, Howard 23

DE SMET — Damon Wilkinson and George Jensen combined for 42 points to power Class B No. 3 De Smet to a boys basketball win over Howard on Tuesday.

Wilkinson finished with 22 points and 18 rebounds, while Jensen added 20 points and seven rebounds. Kadyn Fast added seven points, while Kasen Janssen had six points. Britt Carlson scored five points. 

Howard’s Logan Mentele scored eight points, while Kolt Koepsell had six points. Colby Claussen added five points and four rebounds. 


Leola/Frederick Area 47, North Central 42

FREDERICK — Three players scored in double figures to lift Leola/Frederick Area to a boys basketball win over North Central on Tuesday.

Noah Kippley finished with 17 points, while Hans Lapka added 13 points. Brayden Sumption scored 10 points.

North Central stats were not reported. 


Northwestern 65, Florence/Henry 49

MELLETTE — Three players scored in double figures as Northwestern picked up a boys basketball win over Florence/Henry on Tuesday.

Northwestern’s Quintin Fischbach tallied 15 points, while Lincoln Woodring had 14 points. Chase Neiber had 10 points, while Nathan Melius had nine points. Jude Ortmeier added seven points.

Florence/Henry’s Mehki Keller, Peyton Roe, and Ty Bergh each had 11 points, while Tegan Sumner added six points.


Deuel 67, Arlington 30

ARLINGTON — Deuel used the double-figure scoring of four players to pick up a win over Arlington in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Dravyn Carlson led the scoring charge with 13 points with Gavin Benck adding 12 points. Trey Maaland and Braydon Simon each finished with 11 points for Deuel. 

Evan Fonseca led Arlington with 10 points while Jake Burns added six points. 


Castlewood 54, Clark/Willow Lake 51

WILLOW LAKE — Class B No. 4 Castlewood clipped Clark/Willow Lake in boys basketball action on Tuesday. 

Lane Tvedt led the Warriors with 21 points, while Bryon Laue logged 16 points and 18 rebounds. Joe Decker and Jackson Schofield scored seven and six points, respectively. 

CWL’s Trey Huber finished with 16 points. Brady Jordan added eight points.


Centerville 65, Scotland 44

CENTERVILLE — Centerville used a 26-point first quarter to help earn a win over Scotland in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Aiden Bobzin led the way with 22 points while Logan Bobzin added 18 points for Centerville. Luke Knight and Brennan Tople combined for 15 points. 

Ashton Dennis and Kory Keppen each had 10 points to lead Scotland. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 74, Canistota 55

ELK POINT — Four players reached double-figures as Elk Point-Jefferson earned a home win over Canistota in boys basketball Tuesday. 

Easton Kempf powered the Huskies with 17 points and six rebounds. Chace Fornia added 16 points and nine rebounds. Jakob Scarmon scored 11 points with Alexander Scarmon adding 10 points. 

Tage Ortman paced Canistota with 18 points and four rebounds with Trace Ortman adding eight points. 


Corsica-Stickney 62, Mitchell Christian 51

CORSICA — Tye Hosman and Sacha Bemurat combined for 31 points to pace Corsica-Stickney to a boys basketball win over Mitchell Christian. 

Hosman finished with 18 points and five rebounds. Bemurat added 13 points, while Lincoln Bruinsma had nine points. Austin Krogstad finished with eight points and six rebounds. Shad Bosma had five points and five rebounds, while Lucas Krogstad had seven rebounds. 


Madison 52, Vermillion 44

MADISON — Three players scored in double figures as Madison outlasted Vermillion for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Aiden Jensen finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and five blocked shots. Andrew Comes recorded 20 points and hit six 3-pointers. Ben Brooks logged 11 points, seven assists and six rebounds. 

Vermillion’s Zoan Robinson and Carter Hansen scored 15 points apiece. Hansen added seven rebounds. Trey Hansen finished with eight rebounds and four points. Carter Skogsberg added five rebounds.
