Corsica-Stickney 60, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 37

NEW HOLLAND — Corsica-Stickney picked up a boys basketball win over Andes Central/Dakota Christian on Tuesday.

CS was led by Shad Bosma with 17 points and three steals, while Lincoln Bruinsma had eight points. Austin Krogstad grabbed seven rebounds.

ACDC was led by Tyson Cournoyer with 12 points, while A.J. Johnson had nine points, nine rebounds, and four steals.

 



Hamlin 57, De Smet 55

HAYTI — Hamlin outlasted Class B No. 3 De Smet in a Lake Central Conference boys basketball contest on Tuesday. 

Hamlin’s Easton Neuendorf recorded 25 points, five assists and four steals. Brennan Keszler scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds. Tyson Stevenson scored seven points. 

De Smet’s Damon Wilkinson finished with 25 points and 25 boards. George Jensen scored 11 points and had nine rebounds. Kasen Janssen and Trace Van Regenmorter scored five points apiece. 

 



Lower Brule 114, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 46

EAGLE BUTTE — Brian LaRoche Jr., erupted for 57 points to power Class B No. 4 Lower Brule to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

LaRoche Jr., canned 12 3-pointers on the night and had 36 points at halftime, including 10 3-pointers. Lane Gray added 23 points, while Ellwyn Langdeau had 14 points. Gavin Thigh posted 12 points and Tate Elk Soldier scored six points. 

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte’s Kingslee Parker scored 15 points. Tigh Garreau scored six points, while MacKenzie Cass added five points. 

 



Dell Rapids St. Mary 73, Castlewood 70 (2OT)

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids St. Mary outlasted Class B No. 5 Castlewood in a boys basketball thriller on Tuesday. 

Trevon Beckman led the Cardinals with 26 points, while Nic Gaspar added 20 points. Maverick LeBrun scored 10 points and Keaton Hansen added seven points. 

Castlewood’s Lane Tvedt scored 25 points, while Byron Laue had 23 points. 


Howard 58, Hanson 47

HOWARD — Howard held off Hanson for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Howard’s Luke Koepsell finished with 18 points, while Kolt Koepsell added 13 points. Ryder Erickson finished with 12 points. Logan Mentele scored six points and Will Maier added five points. 

Hanson’s Sutton Dewald and Ethan Cheeseman scored 10 points apiece. Hadley Wallace scored nine points. Jackson Jarding had seven points, while A.J. Wilber scored six points. Ben Wilber added five points. 


Viborg-Hurley 59, Avon 28

HURLEY — Viborg-Hurley raced past Avon for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Viborg-Hurley’s Nick Hanson tallied 22 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks. Brady Schroedermeier had 13 points and six rebounds, while Gage Goettertz added 10 points and eight rebounds.

Avon’s Aziah Meyer logged 10 points, while Trevor Eggers added eight points.


Centerville 55, Freeman 39

CENTERVILLE — Centerville picked up a boys basketball win over Freeman on Tuesday.

Centerville’s Logan Bobzin recorded 23 points, while Brennan Tople had 10 points. Luke Knight had nine points, while Aiden Bobzin and Alec Austin added six and five points, respectively.

Freeman’s Tate Sorensen tallied 17 points and 12 rebounds, while David Walter had 10 points. Ethan Balvin added eight points.


Elk Point-Jefferson 60, Vermillion 49 

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson picked up a boys basketball win over Vermillion on Tuesday.

EPJ was led by Jakob Scarmon with 14 points, while Easton Kempf tallied 13 points and eight rebounds. Devon Schmitz had 10 points, while Alex Scarmon had eight points. Chase Fornia added seven points.

Vermillion’s Zoan Robinson and Bryson Skogsberg each had 14 points, while Carter Skogsberg added eight points and seven rebounds.


Sioux Valley 85, Chester Area 40

CHESTER — Class A No. 2 Sioux Valley earned a win over Chester Area in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Patrick Carey led Sioux Valley with 21 points. Alec Squires posted 18 points and three rebounds while Oliver Vincent dished out eight assists. 

Jovi Wolf paced Chester Area with 15 points while Layke Wold added 12 points. Brayden Schut finished with four rebounds and three assists. 


Northwestern 56, Warner 37

MELLETTE — Northwestern used a balance scoring attack to earn a win over Warner in boys basketball action Tuesday night. 

Reilly Schmitt led the Wildcats with 15 points. Jude Ortmeier added nine points while Lincoln Woodring finished with eight points and six rebounds. Chase Neiber added seven points and four rebounds. 

Levi Scepaniak paced Warner with 20 points. Hunter Cramer added 10 points and five rebounds.


Tri-Valley 53, Deubrook Area 46

COLTON — Tri-Valley picked up a boys basketball win over Deubrook Area on Tuesday.

Tri-Valley was led by Braden Oyen with 17 points, while Logan Ellison added 12 points.

Deubrook Area was led by Jacob Jorenby with 24 points.


James Valley Christian 68, Highmore-Harrold 61

HURON — James Valley Christian had a pair of double figure scorers as they picked up a win over Highmore-Harrold at the 281 Conference Tournament Tuesday. 

Landon Wager paced James Valley Christian with 25 points. Jarred Wallman had 12 points and nine rebounds. 

Bryce Bourk led Highmore-Harrold with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Trey Knox finished with fifteen points and ten rebounds.

 

Wolsey-Wessington 55, Hitchcock-Tulare 36

HURON — Wolsey-Wessington pulled away from Hitchcock-Tulare for a 281 Conference Tournament win on Tuesday.

Wolsey-Wessington’s Blaze Herdman tallied 18 points, six rebounds and four steals, while Ricardo Maurovic had 14 points and eight rebounds. Caleb Richmond had eight points and four assists, while Tate French added seven rebounds.

Hitchcock-Tulare’s T.J. Salmen led with 15 points, 13 rebounds, and three blocks, while Erik Salmen had nine points. Carter Binger had eight points and 10 rebounds, while Jackson Maynard added nine rebounds.


Wessington Springs 66, Sunshine Bible Academy 18

WOLSEY — Wessington Springs cruised past Sunshine Bible Academy for a 281 Conference Tournament win on Tuesday.

WS was led by Colby Flowers with 16 points, while Parker Graff had 14 points. Ryder Michalek recorded 13 points, while Brandon Flowers added nine points.

SBA’s Daniel Gerbracht had nine points and six rebounds.


Iroquois/Lake Preston 41, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 36

WOLSEY — Iroquois/Lake Preston outlasted Sanborn Central/Woonsocket for a boys basketball win at the 281 Conference Tournament on Tuesday.

ILP’s Logan Peskey finished with 14 points, while Riley Casper had 11 points. Toby Arbeiter had 10 points and seven rebounds.

SCW’s Jeff Boschee tallied 10 points, while Cody Slykhuis and Hayden Beigh each had six points. Bryce Larson grabbed eight rebounds, while Beigh added six rebounds.



Winner 63, Lyman 36

WINNER — Winner outscored Lyman 41-18 in the first half and rolled to a win over Lyman in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Aiden Barfuss led the Warriors with 20 points, five assists and five steals. Blake Volmer added 14 points, six rebounds and six assists. Shawn Hammerbeck and Ethan Bartels each recorded eight points for the Warriors. 

Cooper Long paced Lyman with 17 points and three rebounds. Long scored his 1,000th career point in the game. Ryker Choal added seven points for the Raiders. 


Platte-Geddes 74, Burke 45

BURKE — Platte-Geddes cruised past Burke for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

PG was led by Joey Foxley with 15 points, while Tanner Dyk had 14 points. Parker Bailey had 10 points.

Burke’s Reed Benter poured in a game-high 36 points and 10 rebounds, while Jaden Swan had five points.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 77, Redfield 60

REDFIELD — Four players scored in double figures as Mount Vernon/Plankinton earned a road win over Redfield on Tuesday night. 

Reed Rus paced MVP with 25 points. Mason Hetland scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Jordan Stoltz added 11 points and eight rebounds while Chris Mayer also had 11 points.

Jerron Haider led Redfield with 20 points. Mitchell Mack added 11 points while Justin Ratigan had 10 points and 13 rebounds. 


Jones County 44, Colome 41

MURDO — Three days after beating Colome in the Jones County Invitational the Coyotes earned another win over the Cowboys in high school basketball action Tuesday night. 

Jett Nix led Jones County with 11 points and seven rebounds. Kaden Kinsley scored 11 points and dished out seven assists. Cooper Fedderson scored eight points and had 11 rebounds. 

Eli Vobr paced Colome with 18 points. Billy Looking Cloud had seven points while Joseph Laprath and Kash Heath each scored six points. 


Mitchell 64, Sioux Falls Roosevelt 44

MITCHELL — Four players scored in double figures as Class AA No. 4 Mitchell defeated Sioux Falls Roosevelt in boys basketball action on Tuesday. 

Mitchell’s Charlie McCardie finished with 16 points and five rebounds. Colton Smith had 12 points and six rebounds while Markus Talley added 12 points. Dylan Soulek had 10 points, five rebounds and four assists. 

Jack Radel led Sioux Falls Roosevelt with 12 points. Hayden Ismail also reached double figures with 11 points. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 60, Yankton 48

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls Jefferson to a boys basketball win over Yankton on Tuesday. 

Griffin Wilde logged 15 points and 12 rebounds. Kaden Year recorded 14 points and hit four 3-pointers. Taylen Ashley finished with 13 points and five rebounds. Beau Giblin added eight points. 

Yankton’s Mac Ryken and Drew Ryken scored 13 and 12 points, respectively. Isaiah Schelhaas logged eight points, while Cody Oswald and Landon Potts scored six points apiece. Oswald had eight rebounds. 


Rapid City Stevens 50, Sturgis 31

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Stevens outscored Sturgis 18-6 in the first quarter and went on to earn a win in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Nash Sobczak led the Raiders with 13 points and six rebounds. Hayden Gebhart and Thomas Martian each scored six points for Rapid City Stevens. 

Jake Vliem led the Scoopers with 11 points while Tyan Buus added nine points.
